Sobre mí

Mexican 30 yo guy. Have lived in Canada, New Zealand and Australia by myself, but been solo backpacking on and off for almost a decade now. Have decided to become a host to give back to the community.

Recently made the choice to move to France to practice my French. In search of a job and mates to practice language exchange.

Passionate solo-traveler and abid reader. I've been described as a soft-spoken, polite, considerate and caring guy.

Very into politics, activism, academics, and science! Environmental vegetarian, pro-feminism, into queer rights, black studies, and neuroscience.

I'm really keen into meeting new people and sharing our life experiences. Would love to know your story!

• I've OCD traits regarding hygiene, so cleanliness is a must for me.
• Very new to hosting, so just solo surfers for now!

Música, películas y libros

I particularly enjoy indie music, I’m all for the underdogs and have a playlist full of songs in different languages.

SciFi/Drama movies are my thing (Gravity, Interstellar, Arrival, Mother).

As for books, I’ve stopped reading fiction literature and have mostly focused on political reading, so you’ll find a lot of philosophy and sociology books in my room.

Algo increíble que he hecho

Every place I've been to has been great, but some places have given me very unique memories that I'll always remember:

Canada:
• Sleeping in a library as it was freezing cold outside to get back home!

United States:
• Being denied entry to Canada, got sent back to Seattle in the middle of a storm, and spending the night in a Buddhist temple! Bros saved me!

Australia:
• Hitchhiking for the first time in my life (actual huge truck as well!)
• Roadtripping the east coast for two months with complete strangers.
• Stargazing in the red desert.

South Korea:
• Having my first ever solo trip saying fuck all to the language barriers. Fell in love with the experience and have been doing it ever since.

Portugal:
• Lost a flight and had no money left to get back home! Ended up in the Mexican Embassy asking for some lent money 😂

Chile:
• Getting tear gased and water cannon'ed for walking home.
• Attended a same sex marriage for a couple I had just met.
• Escalated a mountain for the first time of my life and nearly killed myself in the process 😂

Brazil:
• Going to the precarnival opening in Copacabana, having fun and all, and then having the entire beach tear gassed by the police!!! Chaos ensued!
• Going to a CS meetup in a favela, to have a French guy forgetting to pay his bill and leaving us all figuring out ways to escape!
• Pegação no Lapa

Uruguay:
• Staying in a small town with no access to the electricity grid and having a bohemian night with candles, firecamps, guitars, and stars.

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

I'm a well mannered guy with plenty of stories to share! I, of course, have lots of experience as a housemate so I know how to clean up after myself and respect that of which isn't mine.
