About Me

Hi! We are Borja and Irene, a couple of vets about to start a trip around Japan without return ticket :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are in coachsurfing because we want to live this trip in the most local way, knowing different people and cultures what's basacally the essence of travelling.

Interests

I've been swimming my whole life in a swimming club, and I still swim at least twice a week, there's nothing as the feeling after a good training.
I do play the guitar and I also sing, although the last one I just try. I also play the ukulele, which is a travel partner. It's nice when you get together with other musicians and just improvise some music. You can learn a lot of new things!
I've grown sorrounded by animals and I always knew what I wanted to do in life had to involve them, so I have studied to become a vet! Was at University where I met my girlfriend Irene.
I am also hosting street dogs untill we find them a definitive home, so the can live in a nice place in the meanwhile. They keep me company too so everybody wins!
I am no Picasso, but I also like to draw, I always spent my classes drawing or at least when ever the teacher didn't see me. I mostly do comic theme stuff, but I am always trying to expand my areas and willing to learn new techniques.
I love learning new languages because they can open you new opportunities and also they bring you closer to people. I already speak fluent English, although I would like to improve my accent. I also studied at the high school French and a bit of German. Both of them I am trying to improve.
I love travelling and discovering new places, getting out of my comfort zone, exploring, meeting new people and cultures. I can't really stay in the same place for long so I would love to make travelling my lifestyle. Planning on getting a van to life and explore the world.
I also like cooking, and I have improved a lot living in a student apartment. I know how to cook some of the typical Spanish meals such as Tortilla de patatas and paella.
I love skiing. I try to ski at least once a year but If I can't, it's enough with seeing some snow!
