About Me

Recently graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor’s in Neuroscience minoring in chemistry. I love having authentic conversations and getting to view topics and themes from a different perspective. I’m a risk taker. I like to face my fears in unexpected, monumental ways.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m incredibly interested in getting to know new people and their outlook on life. I’m excited and curious to experience new environments and their culture. Hopefully seeking advice on how to experience character building moments in countries all over that may not be so visible to the rest of the world. Sometimes the best experiences are found in the most unlikely, unusual places. I also want to get to know people who call the place I’m visiting home and take time to shift perspectives of what’s it’s like to live in their shoes.

Teach, Learn, Share

Currently I'm a research assistant at a lab investigating glial cell response to traumatic brain injury. I’m a full-time pet mom to a hairless sphynx cat. I also enjoy meditation and stress management. Through traveling, I hope to gain a sense of independence. I would love to develop a deeper understanding of my inner-self and what I portray to the people I meet. My aim? To learn more about multiple cultures and other people’s passions; to see all different kinds of personalities and what makes them happy to make their mark each day.
