About Me

I am a french student in Marseille currently in a gap year.
I spend much of my time on music, listening and playing drums with in a brassband (in Marseille), I enjoyed working with my fellow students at some events organisation and at the school bar.
All vacations are good opportunity to travel, in France or abroad, I'm curious, friendly and can be serious.

I had the chance to do an 6 months exchange program in Taiwan where I could question all the french habits I had.

I just finished a 6 months internship in Paris where I got a great experience working, discovering the city and meeting the locals.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The more I travel and I get to meet the locals the more I realize they are the best way to discover a country.

Thanks to my gap year, I know have 6 months to travel, first in Europe by train with Interrail and then South America.

I think that Couchsurfing is the best place to combine travels and meetings with the locals to share our experiences and get advises.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I travelled a lot in Southern-Asia and I had quite a scary and later funny adventure in Thailand. I was with four friends in Bangkok, at Khao San Road, it was the end of our trip and we decided to enjoy the bars to celebrate.

At some point, one of them got placed wrongly in custody by the police with no apparent reasons, maybe drinking in the street. A bartended we met earlier told me the story so I went to the police station where I had to bargain with the cop to release my friend, I was speechless at the question "How much are you willing to pay for your friend's freedom ?". At the end he asked me 50€ and later I learned at the hotel that this situation happens sometimes to get money from the tourists.

We now make fun of this together but I'll never forget it.

Teach, Learn, Share

Through my travels I had the chance to learn some cultures facts and I got some stories to tell.

I always try to learn a few words of the country's language when I travel and I'm happy to teach some french words.

It is my pleasure to share my passions such as music and cooking but is also to listen to learn new things.
