My name is Joana Correia, just finished school and am currently teaching English. Growing up my family moved around a lot, so I have been very fortunate to have met a great number of people from all around the world. Having been an immigrant for half my life has taught me a lot and definitely heighten my curiosity to travel even more. With my family I travelled and lived in three different countries - Portugal, Ireland and Canada.
Now that I have the time and freedom my goal is to travel even more and get to hear and see the mini worlds my friends describe when talking about where they, or their families, are from.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent one month on a ship that went from Ushuaia to the Peninsula of Antarctica. This trip was to raise awareness about climate change and to collaborate with a wide range of different women scientists, as to change the narrative since not long ago women were not allowed to go to Antarctica, whether they were scientists or not, it was considered too rough of an environment for us.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have one couch where two people can sleep in, as long as you don't mind having a dog around.
