Hi! My name is Seong Yoon Kim. My friends call me SY, by my initials. I am currently a student in Abu Dhabi, but right now, I'm in Korea for the summer. South Korea!
I was born in Korea (again, South Korea!), grew up in the Philippines and currently am studying in the United Arab Emirates. I love traveling and I love meeting new people (especially travelers) here in Korea.
As boring as these may seem, I study economics and mathematics.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing because I believe it is a shortcut to see the world. Meeting people from all over the world, learning words in multiple languages, trying multiple cuisines, and learning the cultures of the world is extremely important to me. Whether it is while I travel or while I meet travelers here in Korea, I'm more than open to learn and explore, expanding the scope of understanding that I have of the world.

My favorite music genre is tropical house. I really like chill music. Indie is cool too!
I also listen to rock, jazz, pop, classical music!

I don't have a favorite movie, because there are too many favorites! Hopefully we can talk about them when we meet! Same goes for books!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I'm about to be discharged from the Republic of Korea Army, where I served for twenty-one months. I take great pride in having served my country in the armed forces.

I can teach any of the languages that I'm fluent in. Also, in the off-chance that you need help with your math homework, I can help with that too!

But jokes aside, I'm not really looking to teach or learn--I'm really looking forward to sharing tips and stories from fellow travelers. Sharing life backgrounds is also nice!

I'm not a great cook, but I can cook you simple Korean dishes. I can also play a couple of musical instruments, so we can sing and jam along--if that's what you are in to.
But like I mentioned, sharing life stories would be the best way to go!
