About Me

Hello fellow couchsurfers!

I am currently a student at a college near Seattle, Washington. I am majoring in international business and minoring political science as well as arabic and islamic studies. I studied Arabic in morocco last spring. Morocco is my second home and I miss it dearly. I will be back, inshallah! I have dreams of going into microfinance after I graduate. I have a huge passion for advocating for women's education.

I have a deep love for seeing the world and being able to experience and understand cultures other than my own.

Last June I also solo backpacked through Europe. It got a little of my travel bug out and I will be exploring the United States for now.

I am currently a trip leader for my schools outdoor center and take students on week long backpacking trips, snowshoeing trips, kayaking tours, and lots lots more. Besides being outdoors, I also love hitting breweries, karaoke nights, going on walks, and overall just having a good time.

I am a pretty laid back, go with the flow type of person but I also love a good adventure and spontaneous moments!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think it’s such an awesome and affordable way to travel. I also think staying with locals is one of the best ways to experience a new place. It allows me to meet people from all over the world. It gives me a whole new perspective on life! Tell me allllll about your life, I am a great listener! I find myself being very inspired by other people’s lifes.

Music, Movies, and Books

I think my favorite book so far has to be Half the Sky. It is incredible and very educational.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The first major country I visited was Ghana, Africa when I was 16 years old. It was something I will never forget and is what sparked my travel bug!

I went viral in Morocco. The video was viewed half a million times and was shared about 30,000 times.

Also, I got hit by a boat when I was 15. Ask me about it!
