About Me
**Currently in a long trip, so I cannot host.
Hi couchsurfing community! I finished a 15 month round the world trip in 2019 and was planning to keep going when the pandemic fell over us. Now I am finally the happiest person in the world, as I started travelling again :)
I am just a pasionate and adventurous guy, neuroscientist-turned-entrepeneur (this I can explain in more details to whoever cares to know!), and willing to experience new places, people and adventures. Born and raised in Spain, lived in New York and Abu Dhabi for a few years. I am a curious person by nature who finds joy either in the opera or in a smelly hidden bar.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am here to meet people around the world. I am of the belief that the best trip includes interacting with local people (not just travellers!) So staying at someone eleses place is a great way to learn.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: From classical music/opera to dance or electronic...very wide taste :)
Movies: a bit of everything, from american classics, to italian neorrealism, to french nouvelle vague, to european indie, to american 90´s. Kubrick, Tarantino, Hitchcock, Kaurismaki, Kurosawa, Iñárritu, Nolan, Scorsese, Welles, Wilder, Anderson, Houston...
Also wide taste in books: magic realism (García Márquez, Borges, Rulfo), american classics (Capote, Fitgeral, Dos Pasos); Spanish contemporary (Reig, Orejudo, Montero Glez). And many others!
These may be three topics to speak long about! :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Most incredible things happened while traveling:
Spending a few days in the Andaman Islands, one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen, and getting lost in the jungle the day I was leaving. I found an old gentle local man and his dog, that helped me finding the way out.
6 day full time meditation in a Pa Auk center in the north of Myanmar.
Scuba diving with mantas in Nusa Penida and in the zenotes of Mexico.
Free camping in the desserts of Oman and the Emirates.
Quite amazing random connections meeting people. Last one, I met in a small island of Indonesia the cousin of my ex brother in law (and he was from a country really far from mine).
Teach, Learn, Share
Everyone can teach something to anyone; everyone can learn something from anyone. No matter the background or environment. Just keeping your mind open will lead the way.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My humble experience during my travels and maybe a few tips on different matters :)
I can teach Spanish omelete or gazpacho, two very tasty but easy to make dishes. I can also just teach...Spanish! Or some science, if anyone cares!
