Overview
About Me
I am a student of MA of sinology (Chinese studies) at University of Ljubljana. I am also studying Jungian psychoanalysis which has always been my great passion. I run an association for women, called Red Tent. I lead women's circles and hold workshops on feminine psychology, menstrual cycle, birth, pregnancy, etc. I am also a doula (childbirth companion), studied prenatal psychology.
I have two cats, both white, one of them is deaf but still brings mice every night. :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I joined couchsurfing with my ex-partner about 6 years ago . Then I stopped travelling because I focused on studies and working. Now I am back to couchsurging. I like couchsurfing because I get to know the city from a totally different perspective when I meet and stay with people from that city. It's is like I get to feel the soul of the place, what the place means to people who live there, what is their culture. Suddenly the place is not just buildings, museums, history, restaurants, churches, etc but a living place with a soul, personal stories, with meanings embedded in its elements. The experience of opening up to stranges in relatively short time, sharing our philosophies, lives, experiences is a beautiful experience and the travelling is not anymore "I have been there and there" but becomes "I was transformed by this people and their sharing with me their life in this place".
Why I am back to couchsurfing: I haven't travelled in a long time. I had a stay-at-home period where I felt motionless and static, needing a period of rest, a kind of introverted period in a womb. This year I met a student of biopsychology, Petra, who is a student of my father. :) He teaches psychopharmacology at biopsychology studies. She proposed to me that we go to Barcelona this year (2018). She is a student of biopsychology and is interested in dance therapy. I danced flamenco for a long time and it was a very important part of my life. In the past I was also interested in dance psychotherapy and after I met Petra, the biopsychologist to be, I understood it as a sign, an invitation to return to dance and its therapeutic effects. We found some schools of dance psychotherapy in Barcelona and I found a woman who does therapy with flamenco and we decided to visit those places and people and learn something more about dance therapy.
By Petra's invitation a desire to go out in the world returned to me and I felt this inner stirring. It feels a bit uncomfortable, like a butterfly coming out of the chrysalis, but exciting. Like new life in spring.

I like ethno music, especially from the Balkans and Mediterranean.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have been at a couple of childbirths! I don't have my children yet so it was even more moving for me. Every time I see a baby crowning I start to cry. It is one of the most beautiful experiences in the world, to witness the emergence of a human.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach the languages that I know even though I know couchsurfing folks are usually quite proficient in different languages, knitting, maybe preparing some dish. I can teach reading tarot cards (you have to remind me to bring the cards with me).
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would love to discuss (jungian) psychology, philosophy, politics, spirituality, things that we are passionate about and touch our lives on a deep level.
