Hello everybody!
I'm Mara, 24 years old, from Italy and currently I'm attending Linguistic Mediation University in Siena, Tuscany, trying to learn German, French and Arabic.

I was born and raised in Sicily, one of the most beautiful places to visit in Italy, and I was taught to live a very simple life, with few material things or facilities, but a bounch of good food, good friends and a really close family enviroment, but I'm also good adapting at everything!

I've got several interests and goals in life: currently I wish to complete my studies as soon as possible and take some time after to full experience what the world has to offer me, my biggest wish is to learn as much as I can about different cultures, new languages and I would love to met people all over the world to immerse myself in their lives and truly unterstand how life is like in other parts of the world.

I'm interested in people, I love listening to people stories, I do think each of us has something different but important to give to others, and each one we met during our way is for a reason.
I'm also a nature lover! I'd love to visit all around Asia after my degree, sleeping on the mountains with no electricity or facilities for a couple of months,hiking or climbing, Iiving as a local and have a life-one-experience. I love crazy adventures!

As you can see I'm ambitious, dynamic, respectfull and opend-minded girl; I'm particularly interested in architecture, archeology, art, music, good movies, old books, writing, poetry and... Food of course! I am creative at cooking and able to cook/teach you awsome italian dishes, especially PIZZA!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Traveling is one of my biggest passion and my dream is to travel around as many countries as possible, and according to me, the best way to get to know properly the country I'm visiting is to discover it through a local person and fully immerse myself in its culture, traditions, food, religion and how life looks like in other places apart from my own.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living in the Sahara desert, with absolutely no facilities nor electricity, just sorrounded by good people, water, camels, beautiful colors and magical silence in the night. That was a once-life change experience to me.
