Hello! Hallo! Hej! Szia! Born and raised in Istanbul, and am now based in Budapest. I have recently started my English Studies (MA) in Budapest, and it feels great to be back in Europe. Previously, I spent some time in Europe during my Erasmus exchange studies in Konstanz, Germany and I really enjoyed the European culture and landscape. I also had the chance to travel around Europe which greatly inspired me for my studies. Now, I feel like I have just gotten back on track to discover more about the world! Looking forward to meeting new people and cultures.

I am super interested in exploring new artists and songs from different countries (which also makes me a super Eurovision fan ofc!), and I am looking forward to joining such musical events & festivals.

Last but not least, my postgraduate field is English Literature, and I love reading so much. To get inspired more for my thesis, I really feel the need to learn more about other literary works and to exchange ideas with people all around the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My main reason is to explore new places and meet new people because this idea greatly inspires me. I believe that every place on earth has a genuine part of its own and I want to explore them while making new friends all around the world. I also like to share the experiences that I have earned along the way. I am strongly open-minded and I want to explore more about the world by exchanging ideas.

I mostly "fancy" the songs that have a deeper meaning with impressive sounds & lyrics. Mostly, I really like piano-based ballads or folk songs. My favorite artists include Jónsi (ICE), Ben Howard (UK), Talos (IR), Bon Iver (US), Mert Demir (TR), Dotter (SWE), Blanche (BE), Angus & Julia Stone (AUS), Aurora (NOR), RHODES (UK), Manchester Orchestra (UK), Lola Marsh (ISR).

Thriller movies are my favorites such as Final Destination, Halloween, and Scream.
Plus big Harry Potter and A24 production fan.
