Overview
About Me
I’m going on my once in a lifetime solo trip around Europe and Morroco, from July to November 2018. Then flying over to Brasil and Chile from December 2018 to March 2019, and after that returning back to Melbourne, Australia, where my home base and the love of my life are.
I have an electronics background and am working in Melbourne as a Service Engineer with medical devices. I also have a bachelor degree in Public Relation, and am developing a consulting business in this area with my partner related mainly with employee engagement. On the side I’m running a small business selling cotton candies with a rockabilly vendor cart at festivals and markets.
During my trip I’m looking forward to walking around cities and hiking in the mountains, as well as checking out coffee shops, restaurants, pubs, bars, and visiting museums, libraries, art galleries, and local attractions.
I love a good laugh and a chat, I have a daily outside exercise routine, and I listen blues, rock and roll, jazz, ska and a good range of world music. I like to read across a range of topics and I normally I carry one or two books.
On my trip I’m looking for homes where I can spend the night, and hopefully meet locals who are happy to chat and share tips and history about their town.
Happy to cook you a nice Chilean or Australian meal, or take you out for a drink. I could also have a go at fixing anything that plugs into the power point that you’re having issues with (just keep in mind that I’m not carrying any tools).
I’m also very independent so it’s fine if we don’t talk much :)

Music, Movies, and Books
My album of the year so far is: Tell the truth by Otis Redding.
Favourite movies come from Tarantino.
Best books that I can remember: The Alchemist, Detectives Salvajes, The Education of the Little Tree, The two Kings and The Two Labyrinths, and Antipoemas of Nicanor Parra.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I did my own Into the Wild adventure at the age of 21 (without dying!), by taking a few coins and my tools and moving to Easter Island for almost a year. This island is 160km in diameter and right in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. I lived off my electronics trade, and learned some of Rapa nui, the local language.
Teach, Learn, Share
To teach...
Happy to share my knowledge of electronics, Spanish, English, tips to survive in South American and Australian culture, how to cook the best ceviche, bbq, and chicken w/ veggies casserole, Chilean and Australian sandwiches.
To learn...
I love learning, whatever it is, and I’m particularly interested in learning drums and local history/culture.
To share...
Happy to cook you a nice Chilean or Australian meal, or take you out for a drink. I could also have a go at fixing anything that plugs into the power point that you’re having issues with (just keep in mind that I’m not carrying any tools).
