About Me

Hello! I'm a dutch student who enjoys travelling, sports (especially rock climbing or anything related outdoors) and basically any sci-fi book or movie. Currently I'm studying for my bachelor's in Electrical Engineering in Eindhoven, Netherlands and am living together with 11 other students, so unfortunately the options are a bit limited for guests.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meeting new and different people when you're travelling has always been a huge selling point for me! Talking about differences and similarities with people from completely different backgrounds is something I enjoy doing.

Music, Movies, and Books

When I'm actively listening music I usually turn up Arctic Monkeys, The Black Keys, Kaleo, Pink Floyd, or Tash Sultana. Study music consist mostly of Jazz.
I'm a huge sci-fi nerd so my favorite books are exclusively 1 genre: Dune series, Ender's game, Slaughterhouse Five, Snow Crash, The Windup Girl, Hyperion, I, Robot, Hitchhiker's guide etc.
I've a broader interest in movies and series, some of my favorites are: Fight Club, Lord of the Rings, Interstellar, Once Upon a Time in the West, Rick and Morty, Westworld and almost anything from Tarantino.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbing the Nadelhorn in Switzerland (4327m high) and coming back with working legs. Finally red-pointing (= climbing in one go) Poema de Rocca in El Chorro, Spain after my 6th try.

Teach, Learn, Share

Currently really enjoying playing some easy songs on the guitar so I can teach a few but am also pretty interested in learning some songs on other instruments. I can slackline a bit and may be able to teach it if you're not already advanced, same goes for jugling although doing them simulatenously hasn't been very succesfull so far.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Besides from some good conversation, I recently got a 3D printer at my home and it's still mostly being used for printing out small and cute alpacas, so I might bring a few for the people who enjoy that kind of thing.
