About Me

PHILOSOPHY: Take the time you need. There is no rush!

I am an addict. My drug: traveling. When I started to go abroad, my first real travel experience was Ghana where I worked as a nurse and felt in love with this country but especially with the idea of seeing other places and other cultures.
After my return I saved up my money for years and did a trip around our beautiful globe. Now I am back to my roots- Berlin. I wanna share the spirit of Couchsurfing with you like my hosts did with me. I am a funny guy with a really dark humor sometimes. I treat everyone with respect as long they do the same with me. I am always excited to listen to your stories and expanding my horizon. Perhaps you have been to places I haven’t on my radar...
Currently I try to get into Med school to become a physician in the future and if it doesn’t work out I will jump into my next big adventure around the world.

Please read my profile carefully. Don’t send me copy and paste messages. I won’t reply on them. Take your time for an honest request and tell me why you wanna stay at my place. I am not the welfare. I wanna spend my time with people who wanna share the spirit of Couchsurfing too.

Please note: sometimes I receive a couple of requests a day. Due to this amount of messages I can’t always reply to all of them. Don’t take it personal.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I met a women in the Trans Siberian who introduced me to Couchsurfing. My first time she took my travel mate and me to a place in Cambodia. Our host didn’t know us because we hadn’t any profile on Couchsurfing. Nevertheless she hosted all of us. She is one of the best and nicest persons I know. A little miss sunshine :). (Thank you very much Reni. )

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Saw the sunrise on the highest mountain of Timor-Leste, dancing with sharks and mantas in Indonesia, saw whales while snorkeling, hiked in the mountains between Ghana and Togo, used the Trans Siberian Railway to reach Mongolia and China, got an overnight stay from a lovely family in New Zealand when my engine shut down and I was supposed to sleep on a cow pasture, climbed the Khongor sand dunes in the Gobi desert of Mongolia, hiked in the incredible and beautiful Wutai Shan mountains in China,
traveled to Antarctica on a boat and saw the most beautiful scenery in my life, did the Camiño de Santiago, reunited with my family and friends after a long time of traveling.

Teach, Learn, Share

There isn’t much I can teach:
I can teach chess, how to argue with border officers (give them money or got a lot of time and patience), how to take care of your travel mate when he gots denguefever, travel advices for countries I‘ve been, how to dance to techno music, do you have a guitar? I can show you how to break it.

I forgot: For my next trip I need at least some basic skills in Spanish and French. I had French in school so I have to refresh my skills. But I learn Spanish and holy shit... it isn’t that easy for me. So if you’re speaking the language maybe you can teach me some sentences. If you want I could teach you some German in return.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good talks, geopolitical and political conversations, sharing music, exchange travel stories, playing games, enjoy coffee together, watching movies, going for a walk through the city (yeah it’s possible even Berlin is fucking huge), show you the big Grunewald Forest,
cooking something together. I can give you a lot advices about Berlin. I was born and raised in this city. So I am a „real local“ -haha just kidding. But you can ask me everything and I’ll try to help you.

Countries I’ve Visited

Antarctica, Argentina, Austria, Cambodia, Chile, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, France, Ghana, Hong Kong, Hungary, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Morocco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, Russian Federation, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, Timor-Leste (East Timor), Viet Nam
