About Me
Hi! I'm Théo from France :)
I'm a 25 years old PhD student in Toulouse, interested in some electromagnetism problems. I am an addict to sports news in general. I practice athletics since I was 6 years old, a sport to which I owe many encounters and certainly part of my character. I am a big fan of extreme races (iron man, ultra trail,...) which I admire the participants and hope one day to be part of a race.
But don't be afraid ! I'm interested in many things other than sport. I am curious and impatient to share discussions on various subjects, and even more around subjects that are unknown to me. I also hope I can make you discover some passions!
Right now my dream is to discover the world and take as much as a trip can offer. That's why I decided to take my bike and take the road for two months, from the south of France to Finland. In addition to crossing many regions, I wish to enrich my journey by meeting you and immersing myself totally in the country that welcomes me.
For me, travel and immersion also rhyme with lifestyle and new point of view, culinary and artistic discoveries, experiences and great memories.
Anyway, I'd be happy to share a moment with you!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
For me, a trip is more valuable if it is shared. I believe that it is through encounters that a journey becomes unforgettable, that memories take root more deeply. We enter a new country as tourists, but we can leave it a little less as tourists, by immersion. The discovery of a place is even stronger when a host makes us live it. Here, the host brings the place to life and gives extra interest to the monument, garden, restaurant, etc. visited.
For my bike trip, it was also more pleasant to be hosted in the cities I'll meet, to make new friends, than to look for a place to pitch my tent, alone.
For these and surely other reasons, I chose the Couchsurfing adventure!

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen mainly to young French artists like Feu! Chatterton, Fishbach or l'Impératrice. I'm pretty sensitive to indie and electro styles and always hungry of new songs that will make me moving. I really like going to concerts.
I started to immerse myself in cinema some years ago and since then I watch at least 3 films a week. I was particularly marked by Xavier Dolan's films like Laurence anyways or those of Emir Kusturica (On the milky road) and Abdellatif Kechiche (La vie d'Adèle). I will also never say no for a Tarantino !
Whether in movies or books, I grew up with Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings and more recently Game of Thrones and Millennium.
I have always loved reading and at the moment I have a deep attachment to the writings of Sylvain Tesson, adventurer and great French traveller in search of freedom.
I'm always looking for new artists and new creations to discover as I enjoy sharing my references!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most extraordinary thing I have experienced, and I still measure my luck today, is to have hosted a Finnish guy for a year. Not because he is Finnish but because he is the most beautiful encounter of my short life. It was also through my few visits to his home in Finland that I realized how lucky I was to be with a local to discover and make the most of the country I visited.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have noticed several times that exchange and sharing can lead us to build a project, to dare to embark on an adventure, to think differently. Encounters can be a source of inspiration and creativity. Through them I will be able to learn and share a way of life, a culture, quelques mots d'une langue étrangère.
Let's meet and improvise!
What I Can Share with Hosts
My thirst to learn and discover
My curiosity (like the rover)
Maybe a trip to the city
Or a talk on the balcony
Anyway, a good time
Which can only be fine.
