I'm planning to stay in Tokyo June 24 - July 14. I really want to have a wonderful experience through the Coucnsurfing. I’d like to hang out with people from other countries and listen to their cultures. Also, I want to have not just sightseeing but contact with local people. Actually, I’m going to have a job end of this year. Before getting a job, I want to have “real” travel. That has been one of my wishes of my life for a long time. Once I have a job, I would not travel that long period.
Now I graduated Hankuk university of foreign studies. My major is public administration and English Linguistics.
I love travel aborad. I love nature, plants and animals.
I always ready to exprience new things.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In a nutshell, I want to meet local people. When I travelled abroad, I had few opportunities to meet people from various country. I met and communicated with people who were in hostel only. I felt always sad about this.
I had volunteered to guide Seoul for foreigners. That was wonderful experience and I started being interested in various cultures. Then I heard about Couchsurfing from many foreigners, I thought it was nice program that is suitable for me.

Music, Movies, and Books

Actually, my favorites are always changing. I prefer old songs. I’m old fan of Bealtes. But overall, I enjoy various genres and countries of music. Nowadays, I enjoy old Japanese citypop songs. Let me tell you list of some favorite singers. (Not all singers because it would be very long list)

Singer: Beatles, Mika, Bob Dylan, Tyler, The Creater, The Chainsmokers, F.R David, ABBA, Michael Jackson, The Weekend, Ariana Grande, Khalid, Troye Sivan, Oasis, Radiohead, HONNE, Bruno Mars, Queen, Dua Lipa, Borns, Lana Del Rey, The smiths, David Bowie, Maroon5, Fifth Harmony, The XX, Twenty One Pilots, Ed sheeran etc…
Also I enjoy movie OST, and Korea pop.

I DO love movies. Similarly music, I like old movies but I don’t care about what movies’ genres, where movies from. I like animation movies like Ghibli, Disney, Pixar’s, recently. I love so many movies that it’s difficult for me to simplify them.
Wong Karwai, Woody Allen, Park Chan-Uk, Xavie Dolan, Christopher Nolan, Hong Sang-su, Quentin Tarantino, Miyazaki Hayao: my favorite directors.

I tried to read books but sadly, it’s hard for me to finish reading whole one books. I prefer fictions than non-fictions. Recently, I read natsume soseki who is very famous writer in Japan. I like fictions that write about hardship of relation between people, loneliness, inside of people’s mind also about historical background.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had volunteered in group that guides tourists to Seoul. I introduced to them Seoul's nice place and explain to them. We make tour plan and promote foreigners to come to our group. At that time, I met many tourists. I started to enjoy meeting people from other countries. I liked to listen to their country. Then I think people who travel their own ways are wonderful.

After these activities, I decided to travel Europe alone. That was my first abroad travel so I'm little afraid of going far away from my country. While I traveled Europe, I felt something that I've never felt when I was just stuck in my country. It was kind of humbleness which was like the world is so wide, and I'm just a little existence. I was timid and coward before, but I turn into more bold, brave person. I think I grow up and more mature than before.

For these reason, travelling is one of the wonderful things in my life. When I travel, I feel free to myself escaping from hardship of reality.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach Korean, my mother tongue. I'm the best teacher if you interested in Korea :-)I can tell you about Korea history(I studied Korean history quite a long time until recently.), politics, youth cultlure, nice place in Korea, Korean foods, Korean culture, old customs, relationship between people in Korea and so on. You can learn everything about Korea as far as I know.

I like to learn all the new things. I'm curious type person. Your culture, language, cooking everything is good. You have things that you want to get foreigners to know. I'm ready to listen to your stories!

We can share time then understand each other's culture more. That's good to not only me but you too!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I want to share each other’s culture. As a Korean, I’ll tell all about Korean culture. Anything you curious about Korea, I’ll answer my best as far as I know.(Politics, history, fashion, K-POP, old customs etc..) I can be a good teacher for you. I think Korean culture is quite unique culture in Asia.

If you travel Korea, I can offer you guiding or treat some foods :D We can keep in touch in messenger and we can be great international friends. I do love to listen to various cultures and foreign people’s lives. I can teach Korean if you are interested in. At least, I’ll make you write your name in Korean :) You can teach me with your language. I like to learn foreign language. Also, I can teach you to cook Korean simple house foods.

It would be nice that hosts introduce to me like local bars, restaurants, place that you love, hidden sites that traveller don’t know much and so on. It would be the best if I can share some time with hosts with nice foods and beer.

As I said, I love to talk with foreign people about their own cultures. I like to talk about various subjects. Any subjects would be good. I think trip with local hosts is the real travel not just sightseeing. I hope that we treat each other nicely. I’m not that picky or difficult person so you don’t have any trouble with me if we have manners.
