I come from Vietnam and it is now my second year in France. Actually, I am doing my PhD thesis in electrial engineering field in Grenoble. At a first sight, I always look like a shy guy but than people know that is not true. I’m very open and willing to talk to everyone for making new friends, having fun and getting more knowledge . I love outdoor activities and sports such as running, cycling, hiking, volleyball, frisbee... Besides, I especially have a passion for cooking. Most of my international friends have tasted and love Vietnamese foods cooked by me. Hope to have a dinner with you guy one day in my appartement in Grenoble :). One of French idioms that I love most is “les voyages forment la jeunesse” which means “trips make youth”. Yes, I really love trip, I really love travel. I spent the last summer for traveling around France and some places in other european countries such as Germany, Italy, Spain, Luxembourg. This summer, I will have a tree-week trip to Eastern Europe, Croatia and Italy.

For getting know more friends in the whole world, hanging out with other guys in Couchsurfing in my area and obviously, for accommodating at inhabitants’ home to know more about the culture of cities that I will visit.

Two weeks living in the mountainside with a French family. I was there for my first Workaway experience. I helped to build a stone wall and shared many beautiful memories with the family.

I taught mathematics to children in a primary school. I am learning harmonica and I would love to share daily stories of my beautiful country, Vietnam.
