About Me
My name is Julia and I'm a student from Poland, who loves travelling and meeting new people! I study International relations at University of Warsaw, so I like visiting different places and understanding different cultures.
I have a twin sister, Joanna - we don't really look so much alike (at least that's what I tell everyone). We travel the world together and I can really rely on her. My friends say that I make them laugh, but maybe they have a weird sense of humor ;) Someday I'll have a dog (or maybe three dogs, who knows) and a huge garden.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I got inspired in AIESEC - a student organisation, which invites foreign volunteers to share their culture and experiences. I heard a lot about coachsurfing as a great way to explore the world and meet local people. I believe that I can learn and experience more, if I share my journey with people from different cultures and countries. There's nothing better than local poeple, sharing their stories about their hometown.
I'm new to the CS, but I'm really excited to start this wonderful experience! Hope to make great friends and some memories!

Music, Movies, and Books
Books and movies? There are sooo many of my favorite ones!
I enjoy classic action movies, like "Die Hard" or "Terminator", but I also love good drama - "Scarface" and "American Beauty" are among my favourites. And don't forget about comedy - I'm a huge fan of Jim Carrey!
I read a lot, especially classic and modern Russian literature and Agatha Christe (Hercules Poirot is my favourite). I read modern Polish literature too - I can recommend some really interesting authors :)
Of course Harry Potter will always have a special place in my heart!
Music? Rock music, for sure! Muse, Green Day, The Beatles are my top 3. I listen to Royal Blood, Arctic Monkeys, Kings of Leon, Kaleo, Kasabian and many more. John Lennon is my idol and inspiration.
I like exploring new music, so I'm always open for new sounds!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
AIESEC was the experience that really changed me as a person. I recruited volunteers from different countries (China, Mexico, USA, Thailand) for a project in Polish kindergardens and schools. These amazing, open-minded people shared their culture and taught foreign languages to the Polish kids. I met kind, cheerful and optimistic students from different countries, who showed me that the world is a coluorful and diverse place! I guided them around Warsaw and spent great time with them!
Also all the places I travelled to, especially Slovenia, Scotland and Russia.
Teach, Learn, Share
Learning foreign languages is my passion, so I would really love to talk to you as much as I can :) English, German, Russian, a little bit of Spanish. I can teach you Polish - it's not as hard as they say, I promise!
I used to play keyboard in primary school and I love music, so learning some basics of how to play some musical instrument would be nice (guitar is my dream!).
I don't really go to clubs, but some good pubs and local restaurants - that's on the top of my list.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Long conversations about books, movies and TV series - I can share my views and recommend something ;) I can't cook, but I can tell you about traditional Polish cuisine!
Respect, kindness, optimism and trust are the values I would love to share with you!
