Overview
About Me
Hi there! My name is Raven, and I'm excited to be a part of the Couchsurfing community. I'm a beginner traveler who loves to explore new cultures and meet people from all over. One of my biggest passions is learning new languages, so if you speak a language other than English, I would be thrilled to practice with you!
When I'm not traveling, you can usually find me biking around my hometown or trying out new recipes in the kitchen. I'm a very clean and respectful person, and I always make sure to tidy up after myself.
My travel goal is to visit the capital city of every country in the world, and I'm well on my way! I believe that travel is not just about seeing new places, but also about learning from the people who live there. I love to spend time immersing myself in new cultures and learning as much as I can about the local way of life.
One of my favorite things about Couchsurfing is getting to experience the local nightlife and party scene. Whether it's hitting up a trendy club or trying out a local bar, I'm always down for a good time.
As a host, I'm happy to share my knowledge of my hometown with guests and help them make the most of their visit. I'm also always eager to learn about my guests' cultures and traditions, and I love to share stories and experiences with them.
Thanks for taking the time to read my profile, and I look forward to meeting you soon!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing because I believe that travel is about more than just seeing new places. It's about connecting with people, learning about new cultures, and creating unforgettable experiences. Couchsurfing provides a unique opportunity to do all of those things while also saving money on accommodation.
As someone who loves to meet people from all over the world, Couchsurfing is the perfect platform for me. I enjoy the chance to connect with locals and learn from them about their hometown and culture. I've made lifelong friends through Couchsurfing and have been able to experience destinations from a unique perspective.
Additionally, as someone who is passionate about language learning, Couchsurfing allows me to practice my language skills with native speakers. I find that this is the best way to learn a new language and to gain a deeper understanding of the culture.
Overall, I'm on Couchsurfing because I believe that it offers a unique opportunity to connect with people and to learn about the world in a way that's not possible through traditional tourism. I'm excited to continue using the platform and to meet more amazing people along the way.

Music, Movies, and Books
When it comes to my favorite books, I'm a huge fan of Paulo Coelho. His writing is so inspiring and thought-provoking, and his books always leave me feeling uplifted and motivated. Some of my favorites include "The Alchemist," "Brida," and "Veronika Decides to Die."
As for music, I have a pretty eclectic taste. I enjoy OPM music, Chinese music, and Spanish music, as well as popular music from around the world. Some of my favorite artists include Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift, and Adele. I love discovering new artists and expanding my musical horizons.
When it comes to movies, I'm a big fan of the "Harry Potter" series. I've read all the books and watched all the movies multiple times, and I still get chills every time I hear the iconic theme music. I also enjoy other fantasy and adventure movies like "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy and "Star Wars."
Overall, I'm always open to discovering new books, music, and movies. I believe that these forms of entertainment have the power to transport us to new worlds and to inspire us in ways that nothing else can.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the most amazing things I've done in my life is opening a shop at home. It was a dream of mine for years, and I finally took the plunge and turned it into a reality. It was a lot of hard work and dedication, but it was incredibly rewarding to see my business grow and flourish.
Another amazing thing I've done is travel to Manila by myself. As someone who loves to explore new places and meet new people, traveling alone was a bit daunting at first. But I quickly realized that it was an incredible opportunity to push myself out of my comfort zone and to learn more about myself and the world around me. I had an amazing time exploring the city, trying new foods, and meeting locals and fellow travelers alike. It was a truly unforgettable experience that taught me a lot about independence and resilience.
Teach, Learn, Share
As an English teacher, I'm passionate about the power of language learning to connect people from different cultures and backgrounds. I love to teach and share my knowledge of English with others, but I'm also eager to learn and practice new languages myself. I believe that language learning is a lifelong journey, and I'm always excited to discover new words, phrases, and expressions from around the world. Whether you're interested in practicing your English with a native speaker, or you want to teach me some words in your own language, I'm always up for a language exchange. I believe that the best way to learn a new language is through immersion, and I'm excited to share my love of language learning with the Couchsurfing community.
What I Can Share with Hosts
As a guest in someone's home, I believe it's important to give back and contribute in any way that I can. One of the things I can share with my host is my knowledge of my own culture. I love to talk about my country's customs, traditions, and history, and I'm always happy to answer any questions that my host may have. Additionally, as an English teacher, I'm happy to help my host improve their language skills, whether it's through conversation practice or grammar lessons.
When it comes to practical tasks, I'm more than happy to contribute to the household in any way I can. I love to cook, and I'm always happy to prepare a meal for my host using ingredients that are local to their area. I'm also happy to help with household chores, like cleaning, laundry, or running errands, if my host needs an extra hand. I believe that small acts of kindness can go a long way in building lasting friendships, and I'm excited to share my skills and knowledge with the Couchsurfing community.
