About Me

Hi guys!
Im quite a spontaneous person and recently that has lead to many last minute plane tickets and no plans beyond that. But hey, no planning makes life a little more stress free abd you get to go wherever the people you meet suggest.

At home I'm a typical university student studying business and all but living in the library. Every university break I go away when I can. This break I'm backpacking southeast asia with a friend I made on university exchange in Sweden.

I love to spend time outside! Be it lying on a beach doing nothing at all or working up a sweat hiking through the forests. But most of all I love to eat the local food! At home I'm a vegetarian but when away I can't deny myself the experience of local food!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Staying at hostels when visiting new places you meet some amazing people and learn alot about their homes. They just happen to be somewhere else. Couchsurfing would be an amazing way to learn about the way of life in the place you are.
And a local would be able to point me towards the best coffee in town. That's a high priority in my eyes.

Interests

I think I can say with certainty my one true love is food! I also love hockey in every shape and for. I've grown up playing feild hockey and a bit of indoor and am now starting to get into ice hockey.
I also love a good sunset! Often at home my days will be planned out around making it to the beach for one of the amazing West Australian sunsets.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was in high school I caught the travel bug from working in an orphanage and leprosy village in Thailand. That was an eye opening experience I will never forget and I hope to do more charitable work in the future.

More recently I've started eventing my travels at every opportunity possible! I cancelled a flight the day before going home to backpack Europe for another month. This somehow ended up with me jumping off a train kn remote Serbia a week later. I got a job in Stockholm after my exchange studies in Sweden finished because I just couldn't bring myself to leave such a wonderful place. And now I'm in Asia after booking a flight on Friday, quitting my job in Monday and leaving the bright and early on Thursday.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love learning about other cultures! All the strange traditions and different ways people go about their everyday life is so fascinating. I'd love to learn about how my hosts go about their days and can talk about lesser known West Coast of Australia for hours. (you're really missing out if you only go to the east coast!)

I like to think I also have a few interesting stories from the last few years of adventures that are sure to give you a laugh.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A good chat! I do like having a bit of downtime to myself after a busy day but am always up for a chat!
Bring out a coffee, beer or any drink really and I would love to sit and chat for hours with you.
