Please read my profile through before sending a request.
I know it’s a fair amount of reading but i expect you to learn a little about me before deciding to send me a request to stay in my home with me and my kids.. makes sense right?

Born in New Zealand, raised in Iceland ..kiwi /viking hybrid 😁 Fluent in icelandic and english. Independant mother of three, 24 year old girl (she already has her own place, and made me a grandmother of two! : ) and i have 17 and 13 year old boys. I work as an physiotherapy asssistant, working with kids and teenagers with disabilities and elderly people with parkinsons disease. I love my job and look forward to each day with all these amazing people! I’m also involved in volunteer work for the red cross in Iceland, both in refugee programs and currently taking courses for setting up shelters in case of natural disasters or large scale accidents.
I try to be the best possible version of myself everyday, i have a passion for life and all the amazing things i have experianced and am always looking forward to the next great moment.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

Love meeting people from all around the world. Have been involved in CISV, have hosted leaders and kids from around the world that came here to Iceland for CISV summercamp. Have also had the pleasure of hosting for a friend of mine that didn’t have the space for her guests, so i’ve made good friends and had a great time while doing so.

Me and the kids have enjoyed making new friends from around the world . Couchsurfing has been an awesome experiance, i have met so many amazing people and made good friends along the way. I am forever thankful to have this opportunity to widen my perspective of life and learn new things about so many different cultures.

Please don’t send me a copy/paste message as a couch request. If you want to stay with me and my family please send me a genuine request and tell me a little about yourself , why you use CS, how you participate in the CS community and why you would like to stay with us.

I have a lot of requests so please don’t take it personally if i can’t host , I might have another guest/s staying at that time or even just want a little time by myself. If you don’t have any refrences at all, it’s more likely i will decline your request.

I always try to host any time i can. I prefer to accept guests that have a detailed and complete profile so i can get an idea what kind of person i am welcoming into our home. Also prefer guests that not only surf but also host.. giving back to the CS community

I might have other surfers staying at the same time or offer another surfer to stay while you are staying..so don’t be surprised if this is the case.

Sorry in advance if I decline your request without an explanation, sometimes i don’t find the time to write or i might think you may not have read my profile through. And frankly some requests are just terrible

Intereses

Love hiking, being out in nature is one of the best things i can imagine. Enjoy to write and draw, spending time with friends and family, travelling here and abroad. Love a good workout, i’m at level 4 of 5 in pole fitness , but haven’t gone back since covid.. still have a pole at home so i can practice every now and then. Usually i go to my gym 3-4 times a week for a good calisthenics routine and also got my degree as an international personal trainer so working out is a big part of my life .
Looove tattoos.. i have a few myself and waiting to get more..
Love going to little concerts around town, love happy hour with friends and of course my favorite thing, to meet people from all around the world, hear their stories and share mine. I also enjoy writing lyrics for my friend who makes the music to them, and couchsurfing will always be a part of my inspiration!

Solo trip to Barcelona, , couchsurfing, the best trip ever!

traveled in France with my best friend, taking the train anywhere, taking turns on randomly choosing where to walk or take a turn....seeing amazing things and places without planning.

love to learn about diffrent cultures, Can teach about my culture and maby some icelandic words for those who dare 😊 always up for sharing the great city of Reykjavík with new friends if i have the time. Intrested in learning spanish so if you are spanish speaking i would love to learn from you.
Also love hiking and try to go as often as i can , we have many trails in the Reykjavík area and i always love to have company.

Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones

My culture and language,and my past experiances, i’m a easy going and open person and will respect your home, share everything i can and help around the house when needed. I also belive that a positive attitude can make every situation a better one, you will always see me with a smile,
after all a smile is an international language!
