Hi

My name is Daniel Piatkowski, I am 24 years old, originally I am from Poland (You would never guess because of my hair haha) but when I was 13, I moved with my mother to Italy, Sicily. (That is why I have Italian accent) In the area of Catania. I finished linguistic high school where I was studying a lot of languages, therefore, I have wide experience with them and a very open mind. I decided to leave the family nest when I was 21. At the first opportunity, I moved to the UK where I am currently living, in Sheffield.

I am working full time as First Line Network Engineer and teaching languages online in my spare time. In the meantime, I work on my own dropshipping business and post video on youtube as an influencer.

I have a keen interest in new experiences, deep conversations, travelling, music, video games and good wine.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travelling is something that both fascinates me and stresses me at the same time. But I am in search of new experiences that is why I am pushing my boundaries. In this lays the key of understanding other cultures and accepting them instead of fearing them.
A good conversation is like a miniskirt - short enough to retain interest but long enough to cover the subject. I have the same opinion about my journeys. I am here to meet new people, new places, new experiences and in exchange I offer good company and good stories to tell in front of campfire and wine. That's my thing, I drink and I know things.

I really like horror and sci-fi movies. Where other people shit their pants, I laugh. I like strong emotions, but they are like drugs to me, stronger the emotion I get, harder is to overdose it later.
I like sci-fi and romance books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once I wanted to experience how is it to skip sleeping for a week. I managed to not sleep for 5 days, I could go on but I decided not to. The hallucinations I have experienced I can only talk about after a bottle of wine!

Teach, Learn, Share

Since I was 13 years old, I started to learn languages, therefore I have a vast experience learning and teaching them. I speak Italian, English and Polish pro-efficiently, I can communicate in Spanish and I am learning German.
