Overview
About Me
A free spirit with endless plans and a deep desire to explore everything this world has to offer.
(Please pronounce my name as Miria because the J is silent in Lithuanian)
What I learned about myself through travels:
⋗ I'm an adventure seeker, a nomad, an ambivert, a multipotentialite;
⋗ I'm independent and curious, open-minded critical thinker.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Thanks to the amazing people I've met, I see it as a way to live amongst locals who can definitely teach you much more about culture, living in their country and even about less common knowledge. I enjoy experiencing places by being introduced to them from local perspectives. And I love this way of making new friends.
Interests
My interests may be very various. Even a crazy or weird activity can attract me and I'm always excited to try and learn something new.
Some topics I am always curious about include: ancient civilizations, territorial expansions, dynasties, mythology, mental disorders, various experiments, plagues, serial killers, aliens, universe, etc.
Ahahah, I can imagine this sounding a bit too weird.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I can handle all kinds of music, so show me what you've got. Though I often find myself listening to indie/alternative rock.
Books: my favorite are fantasy and adventure genres but I also have a lot of classical and science/academic books on my list. Tolkien's 'The Silmarillion', Martin's 'A Song of Ice and Fire', and Camu's 'The Stranger' are so far my favorite.
Movies: from 'The Hobbit', 'Lord of the Rings' to all superhero and 'Star Wars' films. I am also addicted to Netflix :(
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Had a runaway from home when I was 17. Spent few days wandering until I reached Latvia and after that, managed to come back home just before my family was about to call the police to start searching for me. THE BEST experience ever!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can definitely be your Lithuanian language teacher and teach you a bit of philosophical or critical thinking, though I could never grasp it fully either.
What I am seeking to learn is everything, but for the beginning, it's enough for me to learn the basics: about your culture, a bit of a language, some etiquette. Nonetheless, I will be curious to learn about you, your point of view, your own life and my questions can be just about anything. I'm not really into practical learning, but I would give a try to learn a dance, how to make a meal or play an instrument, etc.
And I can share with you my knowledge (especially historical, geographical, and cultural) about the countries I've lived in (Lithuania, Ireland) and been to; I could tell a lot about the journeys and adventures I had and I would love to hear about yours; and also, I'm willing to share everything that I've learnt so far.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Lots of interesting and exciting talks, keeping my stuff tidy, and a complete respect for my temporary home and its owners. Although I might not carry souvernirs to every new country I go, I always leave a special kind of gift for my generous hosts.
