Hi! My name is Bronte and I’m 24 years old born and raised in South Australia. I grew up on the beach and have been obsessed with the environment from an early age. With an environmentally conscious family, I grew up learning to respect wherever we visit and leave nothing behind but footprints. After spending a few years travelling, I went to university and spent 5 years getting my degree in marine biology and conservation. This has lead me down a path of great opportunities including studying great white sharks in Africa, working at the marine research centre in port Lincoln south Australia and becoming an active Sea Shepherd volunteer where I get to help ocean conservation constantly. After spending so much time studying, it is time for me to have a solo adventure and I will be travelling the UK and EU for 4-5 months. I am a piano and guitar player and was a on a music scholarship throughout high school. I am an avid movie watcher and will watch a movie multiple times if it’s a good one!

An absolute highlight in my life has been the opportunity to do marine research in Mossel Bay, South Africa. Every single day I was working personally with up to 16 great white sharks and learning about their populations.

I live on a vegan diet (for health and ethics reasons) and am always happy to cook a nice hearty home cooked meal for anyone who is open to trying something new! (I promise I don’t just eat lettuce). If you have a piano, I would love to play some music.
