My name is Vitória Régia (which means water lily), and yes, the purpose of my name was on honor of the plant from Amazônia, the biggest forest of the world. There's a part of my family that was indigenous, and other portuguese (my last name is portuguese, btw). Anyway, I'm half indigenous and half european that prefers beaches than forest, especially because I grown up in a city near the beach. But, I feel very connect with nature in general.
I would like one day to study philosophy. Nowadays, I'm finishing bachelor in psychology and doing erasmus at University of Porto (Portugal).
I'm 22 years old, I still don't work, and I'm at the last year of my graduation. Maybe you will think that I'm too young, but I learned a lot things while working as volunteer, researcher and intern at communities and favelas in my hometown in Brazil. If we meet one day then I can tell you some of my stories and you will have a different vision.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I'm here to meet new people and share experiences. Sounds very cliche, but when I travel alone, and especially outside of Brazil I feel lonely, so I prefer to meet people than make tours. For me, travel it's not just about to know the culture, places, and history only for myself, but it's about the moment: when you are with someone and can share about all these things but with a company, then you have experiences to make.

音乐、电影和书籍

My favorite band is Crystal Castles. I really love all the songs from this band. But, I also enjoy a lot of different music styles (especially from Brazil) and listen very often. My grandma is a singer and she usually sings musics of Brega, Samba, Choro and Valsa (brazilian styles). So, my taste for music it's very eclectic!

I'm very talking, so I can easily talk about a lot of subjects or just about myself in conversations. Most of times I listen too much (big stereotype of psychologists), so if you like to talk also, the best thing we can to it's talk! Besides, being respect and thankful is what I do during the accommodation also.
