About Me
Hello! My name is Sam O’Connor and I’m from Melbourne, Australia. Before beginning law school next year I’m taking a year to work and travel. I’ve just arrived in Europe, and realise I know very little about many of the countries here. I therefore have decided to try Couchsurfing, in order to get a feel for local cultures.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To get to know a country and its culture by meeting the locals! I recently spent 2 months in Colombia with a host family, and realised that staying with local people is much more rewarding than hostel jumping with other foreigners. I think Couchsurfing is a great way to connect with people.
Interests
Cooking, tennis, music.
Music, Movies, and Books
In terms of pop music, I love Beyoncé, Frank Ocean, and Billie Eilish. I am also a big fan of soul, jazz, and bangers from the last century.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Fishing in the Amazon!
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to share stories with new people with different life experiences.
I am always keen to learn about new cultures and new places, and find connecting with the locals the best way to do that.
I will gladly help people with their English if they need it.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love to chat and get to know new people. I will happily share in the household duties - especially cooking!
