Hey everyone! I'm Dani. I study international management and Chinese in Bremen, Germany and have been living in Beijing for the last year. I spent my time in China mostly studying and working at an international startup incubator and accelerator. Now after finishing my internship I would love to travel around China, experience live outside the capital and learn more about the people of this beautiful country!

Growing up in an immigrant household in the very south of Germany I always had a strong desire to explore the world and challenge myself. I seek to learn more about different cultures and societies, and by exchanging experiences and point of views bringing us all closer together.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the concept of couchsurfing! Sharing your very own home with complete strangers and introducing them to your culture, it's just amazing. I'm quite new to this platform, however, before coming here me and a friend decided to take the land route from Germany over Russia and Mongolia all the way to China. we traveled only by train, bus and hitchhiking. At that time we tried out to couchsurf and had a truly great time. I met so many genuinely nice people along the way and can't imagine a better way to travel.

It's always difficult to choose only one song , movie or book. I like a wide range of different genres, everything from electronic to folklore. I love dreamy songs, movies with an open ending, and fantasy and science fiction books. I just like it when media lets me think out of the box and show me ways i didn't think of before.

Teach, Learn, Share

Like I mentioned before I'm very interested in cultures, languages and discussing different points of views. I'm quite knowledgeable in European history, culture and I'm always open to practice languages with people. I would like to learn more about how it is like to live in different environments and also about spirituality. About sharing: my last year in Beijing taught me a lot about new technologies, entrepreneurship and I had the opportunity to get to know lots of inspiring people. So if anyone also shares this interest with me or is an entrepreneur themselves, I'm keen to connect them to the right people.
