About Me

Hey! I’m Fatih — 26 years old, born in Ankara, now based in sunny İzmir, where the sea is close, the vibe is chill, and people treat weekdays like weekends (and weekends like small festivals).

I’m a dermatology resident doctor — so yes, I can tell you whether that weird spot on your skin is worth worrying about 😄. But when I’m not in the hospital, I’m all about traveling, backpacking, and meeting new people. Couchsurfing was a big part of my early travel adventures — I first used it when I was 19, a curious med student with zero money but infinite energy.

It’s been a while since then — life got serious (hello night shifts and endless exams), but now I’m back! I’ve decided to revive my backpacker soul during my breaks and see the world with fresh eyes and an old backpack.

I’m usually optimistic, sometimes a little too chill, and I love making people laugh — or at least trying. I’ve always enjoyed good conversation, bad puns, and spontaneous adventures (especially the kind that start with “let’s get lost a bit”).

As a kid I wanted to be an astronaut — instead I ended up exploring the galaxy of skin diseases. Close enough?

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Travelling and meeting with new cultures new people.This is going to make me more social person and will help my self-improvment. Last summer, I used Couchsurfing at my first abroad experience in Bucharest and Budapest and I really liked this application. It is one of the best part of travelling, in my opinion.

Football is my passion. I am interested in Football since I was 3-4. I like science and technology. Besides I like watching movies and series.I am usually spend my time with my best friends.We study,have fun etc. together.

Movies:Gladiator,The Departed,Schiendler’s List,Cindirella Man, I like biography movies a lot because they inspire to me. For instance: Rush, A Beautiful Mind, Enigma, Into the Wild, 127 Hours.
Series: Sherlock, 13 Reasons Why, Stranger Things, Breaking Bad, Person of Interest, Prison Break, The Good Place, How I Met Your Mother.. and list goes on I really like watching series(nowadays on Netflix) on my free times.
Books: The Count of Monte Cristo, Notes from Underground,,Martin Eden, Time Machine, and of course some World Classics and Turkish Literature
I usually listen pop,rock musics. I don't have any spesific interest. I think it depends on my feelings.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I have visited 8 city in my country in 10 days with my friend.During the trip we had never stopped. We slept in our tent.We used hitchhiking for transportation so we met with new people. That was really amazing.
