About Me
I'm a fairly new member to this community and I believe I'm no different from most of us here where we all love to travel and meet new people.
Just a little adventurous kid from a multicultural country in South-East Asia, Malaysia that has been living and studying in the UK for the past two years (Bristol and Manchester). I'm pretty bad at describing myself, but I would say I do take a little time to open up when we first meet, and this is something that I would like to improve on it(and I know that meeting and talking to more people is definitely the way to go)!
I'm a big believer in travelling and just going where there are people, then you'll be fine. Afterall, the world isn't that terrifying and people are wonderful.
I do have a passion for football and loves sports or any outdoor activities in general. I'm really open minded in the sense that I find it really interesting to absorb and listen to people's experience and perspective on anything. I tend to have the mindset that everything in our lives depends on which perspective you are looking from, where things are often be perceived by how you interpret it. Yeap, I'm the half-full glass kind of guy.
I always think that life is too short to spend our time working 9-5 and there are so much more to see around the world. Who knows what will happen tomorrow? Why live in the future or dwell on the past? Why not now? Enjoy and cherish every moment that you are having now, that's what matters to me.
Everybody has a start date, mine's 1995. One day that 1995 is going to be followed by a dash and another date. Its that dash that's in between that's really really important and I believe we should strive to live that dash. So strive to live the maxim in as authentic manner as possible. :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
On a backpacking trip after my Masters graduation at the moment and would love to meet some awesome people along my adventure! This will be my very first solo backpacking trip (my only backpacking trip was with friends).
Solo travelling, or backpacking kinda scares me off at first, but I know that all these trips and adventures I take will be worth it. I know that just by leaving my comfort zone, or just walking onto streets that I never been to, will improve my experience and quality of life by doing it. Afterall, there are just so many years that we could live life, and I'm not gonna dodge the things that I'm afraid. I don't want to waste life, or live life the wrong way. I believe the world is my oyster :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Music:
Mainly some mainstream music or indie/chill music at the moment. But I guess I listen to all kinds of music.
Movies:
Inception, Shutter Island, Momento (These are the few that came to my mind while I'm writing this, I'm sure there are much more on my list)
Books:
Reading was one of the most recent habit that I've picked up.
Vagabonding by Rolf Potts is probably my favorite book so far!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
There are just so many things I wanna say.. From stepping out of my comfort zone and taking the first step to travel alone at the age of 17, to backpacking around Europe & meeting new people, to watching the most beautiful sunset in mid-air paragliding through the coast of Southern Turkey, and many more.
Cheers to the many more amazing things we will experience in our life!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can't tell if I am able to "teach" someone, but I am more than willing to be open and share anything that I have learnt. Maybe my travelling experience, my culture back home, or anything that I have learned in the university (if that doesn't sound boring enough).
I'm sure that goes both way in the sense that I could certainly learn more than a thing or two from the people I will be meeting here!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Would be more than happy to share with someone my travelling experience, or maybe as a student living abroad, or just me as a person that came from a beautiful country - Malaysia! :)
