Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Since travelling is one of my life goals and I really want to get to know people, get to live different cultures I believe Couchsurfing is one of the best options I have. You get to go different places and then get completely submerged in the local flow of life experience the culture and so much more.

Also the fact that I am a student and affording other accommodation means are difficult also makes it a reason. While my love to meet people is the main reason that drives me to Couchsurfing, which you get nowhere. Travelling by accommodations at hotels doesn't give you the immersion I want and thus doesn't make sense to me as well

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It was in Pondicherry I was having dinner at one of the most expensive restaurants I have ever been to. I was a student back then. One plate of pasta was all I could order draining all the money I had and just keeping enough money to reach my hostel back in Chennai, India. After having ate half of the pasta served I was still hungry. I knew the entire Pasta wouldn't satisfy my hunger. I had to do something.
I ate a little more and then tore a hair strand from my head and dropped it off on the plate. I knew when such a situation happens you get normally the entire dish made freshly for you again. I called the waiter and showed him the strand of hair. He apologised and brought me back a fresh plate of pasta and a complementary
Chocolate Dessert.

I, later felt, it was really unethical and really repented having cheated the restaurant with my act. I also vowed not to repeat such things again.

But yeah that was one of the amazingly things I remember right now doing.

When you get to know me I am sure you would love the many other stories.
