Music, Movies, and Books

I have a soft spot for jazz, blues, rock, trip-hop and classical music ( for example, I discovered Rachmaninov few months ago and I completely fell in love with his compositions ) . My favorite bads are Pink Floyd, Radiohead and Massive Attack, but all the other singers/ bands linked to the musical genres I have already mention fit my heart profile.
I would not describe myself as a cinematophile (I rather prefer to read), but among my favorite directors can be count Tarkovsky (who,in my opinion, is a kind of god of cinematography), Pasolini, Fellini, Ingmar Bergman, Wes Anderson and Giorgos Lanthimos. If I'd have to make a list with the best movies I've ever seen, I would include on it The mirror, Nostalghia, Persona, The Pianist, The lobster, The theorem and The Decameron.
In terms of books, I am melting after absurd and surrealist literature ( Kafka, Beckett, Capote, Borges, Cortazar need to be mentioned). Also, I am a huge fan of poetry ( from Whitman, Pound, Pessoa to Silvia Plath)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went out at 3 a.m in a terrible cold night of January to listen the sad life story of an almost stranger I had met 2 months before in a pub.

Teach, Learn, Share

I believe that we can learn something every time we interact with a person. From little things (like how to open a can using only a hair clip :P) to how much we should respect each other's cultures by observing how the differences make us special and how similarities remind us that, in the end, we are all humans. Thus, we all are teachers and students in the same time for the whole life.

Personally, I would really like to learn how to cook. If the host(s) would have the time to teach me the most simple recipe from their country it would be great. In return, I can give some creative writing tips.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Time (I am a good listener and I am really interested in people's stories, dramas, feelings. Also, I know how to keep a secret). In addition, I can sing folk Romanian songs. :)
