About Me

I believe one of the most meaningful ways to connect as humans is by opening our doors, sharing a meal, and having honest conversations with someone from a different background. For me, Couchsurfing is not just about travel — it’s about building real connections, exchanging perspectives, and experiencing the world through other people’s stories.

I go by Rami. I was born and raised in Morocco and later moved to the United States. I try to live simply and intentionally, and I strongly believe that kindness and giving back are essential to a meaningful life. Volunteering is a big part of who I am — it keeps me grounded and constantly reminds me of the value of empathy and human connection.

I’m involved with several organizations where I support immigrants, mentor youth, help families in need, and take part in community initiatives that bring people together. These experiences have shaped the way I see the world and strengthened my belief that most people are good — they just need to be understood.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

“No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.” — Aesop
I’m here because I believe in human connection beyond borders. Couchsurfing allows me to meet people I would never normally cross paths with, share experiences, and create meaningful moments — whether I’m hosting or being hosted.

If I’m hosting you, make yourself comfortable and leave any formality or nervousness at the door. Think of it like visiting an old high school friend — just relax, be yourself, and enjoy catching up together :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy a mix depending on the mood — Pop, R&B, Raï, Chaabi (Moroccan folk), Reggaeton, and more. I’m always open to discovering new sounds from different cultures.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Survived getting stung by scorpions three times 🦂 (not recommended 😄)
- Watched FC Barcelona vs Real Madrid live at Camp Nou ⚽️ — unforgettable atmosphere
- Stole a lot of American Jobs

Teach, Learn, Share

I’d be happy to teach you some Arabic or French, and I always enjoy cultural exchange through language.
I also love learning from others — whether it’s a new perspective, a life story, or even a random skill.
If you’re into gaming, we can definitely play some PS5 (FIFA, Call of Duty, etc.) and have a fun time.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I’m an easygoing and respectful guest. I always clean up after myself, help around the house, and adapt to your routine. I can also:
- Cook and share a meal together
- Contribute to groceries or expenses
- Bring good conversation, positive energy, and genuine curiosity
