About Me

Hi, i am Daniel.

I am a colombian student who loves to travel. I like to make new friends and know new cultures.

Since I began my universitaries studies my mind has change a lot, I used to have a little world, I was a good student, I had an stable life and everythig seemed to be fine. Then my mind started to change, at the same time that i got advance in my careers my points of view about everything change. The master brush was in 2016, when i went to Mexico for an interchange. It was not only the opportunity to grow as a profesional and saw my careers in a different way (the focus was different, i had the chance to practice the theory a lot), but also to grow in an integral form. I open my mind and i started to see things that i usually didn´t see. First thing is that my love for Colombia (that was good enough before that) increased a lot, i didn´t get tired of telling my new friends how incrediblke Colombia was (and is :D), i tried to reproduce the tipical foods to show everybody there. But also i started to love this new (for me) Country. I still remember how eating "tacos al pastor" in metro Copilco feels like (is one of the things that i loved to do, no matter how simple it looks), and i also remember the countless meals that i tasted. It was very curious because Colombian food is quite different than Mexican, but at the same time that i was really excited for tasting "tacos, tortas, gorditas, enchiladas, chilaquiles, tlayudas", and more and more, i missed "bandeja paisa, arepa de chócolo, fiambre, tamal" and more. But food was not everything (and important piece but not all), the places, the landscapes were really amazing. I had the opportunity to explore its seas, mountains, magic towns, (i really recomend Mexico to visit) and i can say that each one has its own secret, its own magic. And to end the story of Mexico (it really change my life and hope not to annoy you talking a lot about it) there was the people, i found them very kind, hospitables and friendly. Mexico has a lot of good things, but its biggest treasure is its people and they make it a better place.
To continue with text, i want to say that going to Mexico is not the only thing in my life (i talked a lot about it because it really frame my life) and a bunch of more things (since i have consciousness) were the ones that defined me as the one i am now. I love the nature and i love to stay in a forest, river or something like that (i also enjoy the technology, i won´t deny that), i tried to enjoy details of the life and understand that little things. Altough i do not use to read literature, i read a lot of technical articles and i really have a passion for the knowledge, i am so interested in mechanics, design, electricity (i study mechanical and electrical engineering), but i am also interested in astronomy, philosophy, culture and social behaviuor (i do not know a lot about that or dedicate a lot of time, but a lot of doubts that had arisen in my life are around them).
To end i can say that i know something about cook, how life in a countryside is like and i do my best to get adapted to any situation (is a kind of survival method jajajaj)

One of the incredible experiences in my life, was living is Mexico. It is a wonderful country with amazing people, i learn a lot of things there, meet new people, visit incredible places and ate delicious food. This travel is a motivation to keep travelling and find the marvels that each place in the world have.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I want to share my experiences, have a good talk about cultures and customs. The idea is to learn and teach.
I am convinced that the cultural interchange is a really good way to grow, to undertand that our differences (in a good sense) is what makes us magic. Travelling break free of oyur prejudices about ourselves and the others and a good thing of travelling is that give us the possibility of teach the other how our Country is like. In that order of ideas i can talk you about my beatiful Contry, Colombia.
