Hello!

I view myself as an open-minded, searching soul, looking to meet inspiring people, have meaningful conversations and discover what life has to offer.

I grew up in Norway, and studied theoretical Physics at uni. For a while I lived in Edinburgh, Scotland, where I worked as a waiter. Belgium was the next destination, continuing my studies within physics, before deciding it was not for me, and I started working as a chef in a vegetarian restaurant.

The last year I have lived in my native town of Ålesund, also working in a kitchen, but now I have decided to embark upon a new adventure as a traveller of the world :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In October I will be travelling in the US, and would like to get to South America eventually.
However, I would like to take my time getting there, getting to know people and cultures along the way, flexibility is key, and I have a goal of being open to opportunities and exeriences as they present themselves.

I am outgoing and I really enjoy meeting people and learning their stories! I think that couchsurfing will help me in my travels to get to know similar souls and recieve some local knowledge about the places I visit. For a few months I have hosted surfers in my small appartment in Norway, and it has been exclusively a positive experience!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a big fan of learning and teaching, I hope to be a lifelong learner!

At the moment I would like to learn Spanish (and/or other languages), piano, drums, martial arts (any style), writing, painting/drawing, gardening, photography, and so many more skills and activities that I have probably not yet realised I would enjoy.

As for teaching, I can share what I know about food and cooking, chess, physics, basic guitar, Norwegian language and culture. Although I am no expert in the area, I am also always interested in discussing current events, world politics and the general state of society at the moment. Especially I enjoy when those conversations take a turn towards big ideas and the philosophical realm :)
