About Me

19 years old Romanian girl, living under the obsession of making the best out of my time and trying to replace objects with experiences. I’m not quite sure about my future, but whenever I try to picture myself 10 years from now on it’s always traveling, wandering, getting lost in the most unique places. Always searching the off the beaten track path

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I heard about Couchsurfing from my other international friends and I always felt like people willing to share their homes in order to make friends are a special kind. That’s why I joined the community as well. I feel like locals would add the spices needed to any experience. I want to know the place through the people living there. I want to share drinks, jokes, stories, energies and I’m eager to let others know about my roots, my traditions and about the way we are all the same, somehow

Interests

I love philosophy, Amaretto lattes, ethnic culture, travelling, literature, French culture&language, art&artists, la vie bohème, the mountains, eating dark chocolate, early morning, snakes, hiking, fresh food, rivers, mythology and folklore, long walks

Music, Movies, and Books

I’m in love with books, I think this is the only coherent thing to be said about me. I read whatever I manage putting my hands on and I am unable to leave books unfinished. I’m not much of a film lover and my music tastes could be resumed at jazz music and ZAZ.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lost my ID card in the Turkish Airport and I had no passport with me. They wouldn’t let me get on the plane, I got lost from my friends and I had no international minutes to call them nor internet whatsoever. It was a horror story, but I eventually got on that plane and they eventually found my ID and sent it to me back home. Turkish airport stuff really restored faith in humanity that day.

Teach, Learn, Share

I just finished the 12th grade and I’m going to be a college student starting from October, in the Language and Literature Faculty. I intend to follow up French and Russian Language and Literature.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A good laugh, my passion for culture, maybe something symbolic from home if I manage to tuck it in the bag. I can demystify anything you’ve been told about Dracula and Transylvania ( or mystify it if you want to) and give you a glimpse of what an authentic Romanian feels like

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Czech Republic, France, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Ukraine
