About Me
Hi everyone! We are a married chilean couple, currently living our dream of travelling the world together after living 4 years in Australia.
We are originally from Santiago, the capital city of Chile, but we aren't the biggest fans of it. We actually love the south part of our country where you can go hiking or just enjoy the rainforest and the countryside life.
We have always loved travelling around. Alejandro has backpacked a lot around Chile, and Camila has travelled around South America and Europe. He is more of the adventurous type, and she is more of a culture nerdy, hehe.
A few months after getting married, we decided to leave our careers and regular life to do something different. That's when we decided to go and live in Australia with the Work and Holiday Visa. The initial plan was to stay for only 1 year, but we fell in love with the life there, and also, due to the lockdowns and Covid, our plan changed and we ended up living there for 4 years. During that time, we worked in a lot of different things like farms, hospitality, warehousing, cleaning, etc. And we managed to road trip around the country so we have a lot of stories to tell!
After that amazing chapter of our lives in the land down under, we travelled around Asia for almost 10 months, mainly exploring the countries of SEA.
We are now in the "cooling down" part of the adventure. Currently studying a Master's degree in Spain, so we can slowly go back to our careers.
We are very social. We love meeting new people and getting to know different cultures and their stories of life, which is why we think couchsurfing is an awesome way to facilitate this process and put in contact fellow travellers with the same interests.
