About Me

I’m an adventurer who has spent the past 8 months or so exploring the world and now I'm on my U.S. leg. During my travels I managed to survive running with the bulls in Pamplona, I saw the pyramids in Giza, climbed all over Angkor Wat and I spent a week in North Korea (yes, that North Korea).

I did my undergraduate work at Georgia Tech, earned my MBA from Notre Dame, and graduated from Yonsei University’s language school. I have extensive experience working aboard having worked in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. I have worked with individuals from various national, ethnic and religious backgrounds and I savor the opportunity to learn about another culture and way of life. I’m fascinated by the myriad of ways we, as a society, live our lives.

As a lifelong learner I read north of 20 books a year and just finished Trevor Noah’s book Born a Crime. Great read, check it out if you’re looking for something to entertain and educate. My superpowers include speaking Korean, journaling regularly, an unshakably positive attitude and being a great public speaker.

Some of the items on my ever-growing bucket list are: hitting all 50 state capitals (currently at 16/50), visiting all 7 continents (4/7) and dying peacefully knowing that I lived life to its fullest and done everything I can to make the world a better place.

I rise before dawn to hit the gym and crushing chai tea lattes is my method of choice for staying caffeinated. I’m the eternal optimist who thinks anything is possible and the unconditional support you never had.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm currently road tripping through the states with the goal of hitting hitting as many U.S. capitals as possible. Checking them all off is an item on my bucket list and currently a work in progress. Everyone always wants to "visit every state", but for me it's a bit more tangible and real to have a specific goal in each state to visit.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I have a special love for bad 80's music.

Movies: I love movies and have totally gotten my money's worth of Movie Pass

Books: I try to read a good combination of fiction and nonfiction. Recommend one. I'm the person who actually reads books that people recommend.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last year some friends and I headed to Pamplona and ran with the bulls. Luckily everyone make it out unscathed.
