Hi! My name is Andreia and I'm 19 years old.
I was born in Lisbon, but my parents emigrated from Cape Verde so I grew up surrounded by an ecletic and rich culture. I was privileged to have the opportunity to visit many countries ( USA, France, Cape Verde, Denmark, Spain, Italy, the UK and many others) so I learned to be tolerant from a very young age.
I quite naturally developed an interest in languages and in arts, seeming as two different ways to better understand the complexity of the human experience.
I studied Theatre, music, and drew a path as a political activist- I am quite envolved now in the ecological movement.
I love meeting new people and discovering new things. Let's become friends?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Why visit the city in a detached way when you could have a more personal experience and perhaps even make friends that could last a lifetime? There's an intimate lawyer about couchsurfing- when someone opens their home to you they inevitably also open their hearts.

Music, Movies, and Books

I try to be very inclusive in the art that I expose myself to. From mornas to fado, from sweet indie music to heavy Rock & Roll, I try not to limit myself.
My favorite movies are "Beasts of No Nation" and "Birdman". In terms of literature, I adoore poetry and am also quite keen on russian literature- such as Nabokov and Tolstoi.
