Overview
About Me
I used to travel a lot for work, and recently hosted an out of town friend. I missed the interaction so much that I decided to start hosting people. I like dancing swing, Argentine tango, learning languages, playing music, and being creative (with whatever that means at the moment).
Unfortunately, I just moved and need to settle down first before I host anyone.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to meet people, and explore Los Angeles as if I were a tourist. I intend to travel a lot in the upcoming years, and would hope that the goodwill I extend as a host will be returned in kind when I travel.
Ideally I would love to work for you for 1 week doing whatever it is you do. I'd love to work in an opera house, be a tour guide, be a bar crawl host, be at a grand opening, dancing instructor, or something so completely out of my general skills set that it helps me learn about the job, and about myself.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: If I can dance, sing, move my body or tap my feet to it, I probably like it. Lately it has been more 1940s big band music, a little bit of Golden Age tango, and 70s and 80s pop.
Movies: I dig everything Marvel Cinematic Universe, action / adventure and low budget independent films. Favorite recent movie - Captain America Civil War. Favorite all time movies: Apollo 13, Fargo, There's Something About Mary.
Books: As of late, all I'm doing is reading accounting books (ugh!). But I do enjoy sci-fi fantasy, and biographies.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My tango band played on a Spanish language TV show, and I was interviewed for it.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: Conversational English, LA hiking cool spots, what's great about the US, and maybe even a dance lesson or two. And if you want some accounting or tax tips, I will try to keep it low key while you're on your vacation. ;)
Learn: I need to practice my Italian which I just started learning (I'm really bad at this point), and need an incentive to practice French and German, at one point I was fluent, and now most of it is gone. I want to learn what makes your culture tick, whether it is through language, dance, food, or something else. I want to know if you're in your country, and you dig a hole to the opposite side of the Earth, where would you end up? I also want to know why the answer, whether you are from Sweden or Australia, is China.
Share: Food, cooking, hiking, dancing, music (I play several instruments including piano, guitar and bandoneon), and maybe even a karaoke duet.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am kind, respectful, and I clean up after myself. I intend to always learn from people I meet.
