About Me

I'M IN AZORES. I CAN'T HOST YOU UNTIL FEBRUARY 2020

I'm a young boy who wants to live. I know this is the phase of life with more freedom and I want to enjoy it while I can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Of course it is true that I hope to travel all over the world with a lesser budget since I am university student constantly saving up money. However, one of the reasons why I am on Couchsurfing is that It is profoundly attractive to know someone we have never seen, because of novelty, uncertainty and unknown... even more, being from another country, from another culture, with another way of living and speaking. It's captivating. This is also why I like to travel, beyond the places the happy of comings and coincidences make the joy of traveling. That's what I'm looking for in Couchsurfing, happy coincidences.

Music, Movies, and Books

From a very young age, I got used to listening to music with my Father.
I remember many car trips listening to Cat Stevens "Catch Bull at Four" CD. What a great CD. It starts with the song "Sitting". I loved, I love it now. I like music of different styles, but I only like one type of music. The good. Could it be the "Moonlight Sonata", "Where is My Mind?" by the Pixies or "Niggas In Paris".
Today I'm a music lover with dreams of lulling.

The movies I discovered much later. When I was young I couldn't stay more than one hour in front of the TV. Only in my teens did I start to see films that marked me "Into the Wild" (Eddie Vedder's excellent soundtrack) was one of them, for the courage to make life what we want. "La vie d`Adéle" for the crudity. "La Pianiste" for the absurd or "My Mother" by Nanni Moretti for the ability to make the characters and me laugh when life doesn't go well.
Today I'm a movie buff with filmmaker dreams.

Reading was more difficult, but I got there with some effort and I can say I've read some books. The first classic was Flaubert's "Madame Bovary", a victory for me haha. Then Lobo Antunes, Hemingway, Kafka, Kundera and so on. There are still so many, but now I want to travel and not stand still. When I'm old, I'll have enough time.
Today I am a poet with poet dreams.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I played skating (With lycras, sequins, hair gel, etc.) and rugby at the same time. Fortunately, I quickly chose rugby. No shame from my past hahaha
The funny thing is that I ended up being part of the National team of Portugal whit sixteen years old.
Now I'm just an amateur rugby player.
