About Me

Hi :)
My name is Fredrika and I'm a 25 years old girl from Sweden. My main interests are reading and traveling.

I live in LULEÅ in NORTH of Sweden, NOT STOCKHOLM :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I will travel a bit in South Korea and Italy soon. In these countries I want to learn about the culture, have good conversations and get local tips and perspective. Staying with people who know the place will probably help with this :) And also, of course, to save some money so I spend them on activities and food instead! ;)

I'm up for a place to crash in after adventures, or for getting to know each other and explore the city/nature you live in. Whichever you can offer I'm fine with :)

If you'd like to go hiking with me I would love it. I also love to eat good food, talk and running/playing soccer. If you want to do any of this, please let's do it! :D

Music, Movies, and Books

I love reading. Growing up I read Enid Blytons famous five series and Harry Potter. Both sparked my interest in adventures and taught me about friendship. When it comes to classics, I often find them hard to read, but my favourite is Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë. In Biographies I love Mao's Last Dancer by Li Cunxin, Back from Tuichi by Yossi Ghinberg and In Order to Live by Yeonmi Park. I also really enjoy novels and fantasy. So far Sci- Fi and detective novels haven't caught me too much (except for Red Rising by Pierce Brown). If you wan't to discuss books with me, we can talk for hours.

About Movies, I like most things which are well made. The most hilarious movie I know is Swiss Army Man and also the two most beautiful lovestories I've ever seen are: Call me by your name and The Moulin Rouge

About music, I'll listen to anything I think is good, doesn't matter which genre. XD I've found that what mainly fills my phone is indie - acoustik- folk music. Like; Sufjan Stevens, Daughter, Bryan John Appelby, Frank Turner and Miyagi (not indie, but russian rap!). I also like ACDC, Bob Marely, Bonnie Ratt. If you like music I'd love to show you some good songs!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have experienced some adventures in my life XD
When I was 17 I lived in Canterbury, Kent, England in a host family for 3 months, attending a British college. My whole class did this and we had a great time together.

When I was 19 I took Swedish military education and became a Soldier (basic training for 3 months, every Swedish solider have to do the same basic training).

When I was 20 I travelled with a friend in Cambodia, China, Japan and the Filipins during 3 months.

When I was 21 I went to South America for about 6 weeks, to Argentina, Bolivia and Peru. I saw the Iguazu falls, went on the desert in Bolivia and on boat in the Amazonas, las Pampas. The trip ended with us walking the Inca trail, leading to Manccu Piccu in Peru.

When I was 22 I tried to go with bike from Stockholm to Paris, alone. After 6 days, lost in the woods during a storm my navigation system(my phone) broke from the rain. Sadly I gave up after this and took the bus back to Stockholm.

When i was 24 I went on student exchange in Busan, South Korea for 1,5 semesters.

When I was 25 I backpacked 1 month in Vietnam (during winterbreak in Korea).

Now I'm taking 0,5 semester off to travel a bit in Korea, Italy, Germany and Latvia.

I've had part time- and summer jobs since I was 14 years old. I've worked as a cleaner, advertisement distributer, waitress, nanny, optician assistant, as a caretaker in an eldercare facility and as environmental sampler. My jobs and education are what have filled the time between my other experiences.
