I`m Ayelèn, a student of English as a Foreign Language, a future linguist, a choir singer, a Christian person, and a CSurfer quite willing to meet people from all parts of the planet!
I am quite concerned about language issues. I have recently graduated as an English teacher (Nov 2022). I have devoted my time to studying, attending church, taking part in a university choir, and socialising the more I can in the (little) time left -especially in Cultural Exchange events-.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was recommended by a friend of mine (a very experienced guy in this system) to join. I have being actively involved since 2019.
I want to meet new people in any English-speaking country (and from other countries too!), keep on practicing the language and get to know new architectural and natural assets. Moreover, another goal for 2020 was to learn Portuguese, so meeting Portuguese-speaking people wouldn`t be bad at all!

Un amigo (quien tiene muuuucha experiencia en CS) me recomendò formar parte. Y comencè a ser una CSurfer activa (viajando y conociendo gente) en 2019.
Me gustaría conocer gente de otros puntos del mundo (y lugares de habla inglesa también), para seguir practicándo English . Me encanta recorrer y conocer bellezas arquitectónicas y naturales... Tambièn, otro objetivo para mi 2020 es aprender Potuguès, asi que conocer gente que sapa el idioma no serà una mala idea...

Sin embargo, "uno debe empezar por casa", asi que conocer mejor la Argentina y el Mercosur seràn prioridad

BOOKS and FILMS; "The Murder of Roger Ackroyd" de Agatha Christie, "Love Story" de Erich Segal, "The Diary of Anne Frank", "Jane Eyre" de Charlotte Bronte, "One Flew Over the Cuckoo`s Nest" de Ken Kesey y "Lolita" de Vladimr Nabokov... Historias muy atrapantes, fuertes y conmovedoras. Excelentes adaptaciones al cine. "The Theory of Everything (La teoria del todo)", "Les Miserables", "8 Mile" y "Conoceràs la Verdad" (peli sobre la vida de Hector el Father), "Requiem for a Dream", "Nise, O coraçao da Loucura", "Central do Brasil", "Cinema Paradiso", "O Auto da Compadecida" e "Carandiru".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

@ Going to Montevideo to a Congress about Post Memory Literature and getting to know the city
@ Visiting Capilla del Monte. meeting many interesting people, and having fun. My first important experience regarding hitchhiking and camping and visiting several interesting landscapes there... In a nutshell, proving to myself to be a person more open to adventure and happiness than I had thought.
@ Sleeping in a tent in the middle of a stormy night in the wild Nowhere (Capilla del Monte, Dique el.Cajón).
@ Going along the south... of the province of Buenos Aires. One month. 2022. With a friend. Hitchhiking. Sleeping on CS. Very little money. But many friends, places and lessons learnt.
@ Copy and paste for PATAGONIA ARGENTINA. A month and a half... alone... Graduation trip... JUST AMAZING... Only pending place; EL CHALTEN (I accept invitations there, haha)
@Travel to BOLIVIA and see the sunset in Uyuni Saltfield and Lake Titikaka

# Ir a Montevideo para una Jornada de Literatura de Posmemoria y pude recorrer el centro
# Visitar Capilla del Monte. Conocer mucha gente supe interesante, primera experiencia digna de mención viajando a dedo y acampando e it a varios lugares hermosos de interés turístico. EN fin, demostrarme que puedo ser una persona màs abierta al cambio, a la aventura y a la felicidad, màs de lo que podría haber imaginado.
# Febrero de 2022: dormir en carpa en medio de la nada (Dique el Cajón) en medio de una tormenta herrrrmostra.... Se llovió todo :O
# Viajar a lo largo del sur... de la provincia de BA. Abril 2022. Con un amigo. A dedo. Todo el.tiempo con CS. Muy poco dinero. Pero muchos amigos, lugares y lecciones de vida por aprender y descubrir.
# Replicar la misma experiencia para recorrer PATAGONIA por un mes y medio... SOLA... INCREIBLE viaje... Solo quedo' pendiente EL CHALTEN (acepto invitaciones, je)
@ Conocer BOLIVIA y ver el atardecer en el Salar de Uyuni y en el Lago Titikaka

Teach, Learn, Share

I am already a teacher, so I can teach you a bit of the languages I know. I would like to know more about the cultures of other people (not just what we read in books). I also know how to knit and I can cook decently (haha)

Ya que me he recibido de profesora de lenguas, no tendrìa problemas en enseñar un poco de las lenguas que sè. Tambien sè tejer (just in case) Tambien puedo cocinarles -mis recetas son muy idosincràticas, pero aùn asì-
Me gustarìa aprender sobre otras gentes y culturas, (no solo lo que leemos en los libros) y tambien continuar practicando portuguès.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am established near the city center. So, I can share some "mates" and time to walk and talk... Now, I am renting a room in a univ dorm. So I won't be able to host until further notice

Puedo compartir mates (por supuesto) y tiempo para caminar y conversar... En mis dìas de cursado y trabajo, estoy alquilando una habitación en una resi universitaria cerca del centro de la ciudad. Por ello NO podré alojar hasta próxima mudanza, je. De igual manera, puedo ser de utilidad a cualquier viajero denteo de mis posibilidades.

Y a quienes me reciben, seguro que los mates y comida rica no van a faltar, muchas ganas de conversar y caminar y de llevarme lo mejor de cada uno.
