Overview
About Me
Hello. I'm from Taiwan. My Mandarin name is Yu Tzu Huang. You can also call me Amber.
I'm an exchanging student studying in Brno now. I will stay until June and then go back to Taiwan. It's kind of like a gap year for me. It's a whole new experience for me to meet with all kinds of people, encounter a variety of culture, and try to live like European.
This would be my first time to travel around Europe by myself. I've been to Austria, Italy, Spain, France, Iceland, UK, Finland, Netherlands, and still planning to visit Croatia, Germany, and Sweden.
Everything is new and amazing to me. The atmosphere and lifestyle ate totally different from Taiwan. I would love to share stories with you, such as the people I've met, the experience I've encountered, and the scene I've seen,....etc. Or if you are curious about anything in Taiwan, we can exchange our culture!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have heard chouchsurfing before but I never got to have a chance to experience it. It sounds really cool to stay at a stranger's house, and exchange knowledge with each other.
Also, it would be a great opportunity for me to look deep into one's culture. Chouchsurfing is a totally different way of traveling and understanding new culture to me, and I would love to try through this way to get to talk with locals, to live like them, and to experience what a traveler can't expected.
Interests
I love cooking, especially Taiwanese cuisine.
I would say that we have the most delicious and inexpensive food in Taiwan which all Taiwanese are proud of.
If you love tasting new food, I would love to cook my signature dish for you :)

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite instrument is guitar, though I don't know how to play it, I love to listen to guitars. I also listen to pop, ambient, country, dance, electronic, and folk.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've been to Cambodia for volunteering in elementary school. I taught English in language class and Taiwanese culture in cultural class. It was a comparable experience to stay in Cambodia for one month and live like the local. We would also hang out with Cambodian teachers and experience their normal life together.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to share my culture, my traveling experience, or my stories with you. And it would be wonderful to get to know yours too!
I could teach you Mandarin, or Korean, if you're interested. Also, if you want to learn how to cook Taiwanese food, it's my pleasure!
