Hi all! I'm Yasmine and I'm new in couchsourfing!

I am just 20 years old so I think I haven't experienced so many things yet and because of that I'm in couchsourfing.

One of my dreams is traveling around the world but I don't want to be the "typical" tourist who just goes to a city and takes photos to Facebook without learning anything about the city. I want to introduce myself in the culture, to know local people, discover the restaurants and hidden streets which just the local people know.

I study international relations so I am very very interested on discovering how the world works, learning new cultures and languages.

I consider myself an outgoing and open-minded girl. I like speaking and listening about every issue but I like to leave people their space if they need it too.

I'm studying in Warsaw as an Erasmus student right now, but I will come back to Madrid in February and I will be also pleased to host you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really want to introduce myself in the culture and with the locals when I travel, is there a better way to meet the locals than staying in their own home?

Moreover, I would like to host people when I come back to Madrid because I really like to show or recommend to the visitors the most beautiful places that I like. Also, I really like meeting people from abroad and make my routine more interesting thanks to them.

Interests

I love travelling, meeting new people and learning about new cultures and politics. I love debating (I participate in debate competitions in Spain) and participating in social issues activism, because of that I'm member of Amnesty International and I've been volunteer in other NGO's since I was teenager.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really like all kind of music but if I have to choose: I love reggae and Spanish music. I love books about history, philosophy, international politics, culture, anthropology, feminism...

And my favourite movie is "Truman's show".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being Au Pair (baby-sitter) in Italy this summer and seeing the dawn in a Tuscan's beach.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some Spanish and Arabic, and how to cook a "Tortilla de Patata" (the typical Spanish food) or cook it to you. I think I'm a good dancer so I can teach you too ;)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer my free time. We can speak about everything you want and, as I have Moroccan roots, I can cook you something different :)
