Sobre mí

CURRENT MISSION
[RIGHT NOW MY PROFILE MAY BE A BIT OUTDATED, AS IT'S OVER TWO YEARS SINCE I WAS LAST LOGGED IN, BUT BE ASSURED I'M STILL KINDA THAT GUY ;)]

Right now I'm studying the interdisciplinary subjects geography systems science, and very much trying to grow, learn and also heal.
I know that we can make it as a species and will try everything to help preserve a world that our grandchildren may enjoy one day.

ABOUT ME

I like to go through the world with open eyes and appreciate every moment and experience that I come across. As a person, I have a delight for ideas that differ from the norm and have always kept a critical eye on most artificial or manmade things, material as immaterial.
I am a very honest person, and I expect the same from others.

I'm a relaxed guy who likes to enjoy things, especially good food, so I'm cool with just hanging around - but never too long - a good rest to prepare for a good adventure!

PHILOSOPHY

Be honest with me, and I'll be honest with you.

Don't make fun of people in a malicious way.

Veganism is preferred.

Take nothing in this world for granted. Not even perception and reality.

There is always time for a tea ~Iroh
I prefer yerba mate.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I am here because I love the idea of people staying at other peoples homes, as especially in big cities this kind of meeting new people is an act of rebellion against the general anonymity of the metropolitan lifestyle. Additionally, not everybody has a lot of money to travel yet everybody should be able to do so, and it's just a much more fulfilling to "pay" for a stay with perhaps a tasty selfmade meal than money to someone you'll maybe never even meet.

Música, películas y libros

As a kid I was reading a lot, usually fantasy like Lord of the rings, Eragon and such, but also a mixture of other literature like Tom Sawyer or the dramatic works of Loriot, a renowned german sketchmaker, or the Steve Jobs biography. Today I try to get back to reading more again, re-reading some classics of my childhood in english (LOTR, Harry Potter) or digging into other, crazier stuff like the Moby memoirs. As I have a great liking for poetry and already wrote some on my own, I also plan on reading some classic lyrical works, as well as spanish literature.

Moop Mama, Fatoni, Seeed, Dire Straits, Bruce Springsteen, Estas Tonne, BJH, CCR, Neil Young, Donovan, UB40, Hendrix, R.E.M., Moby, Simple Minds, The Alan Parsons Project, Jean-Michel Jarre, Nils Frahm, Acid Pauli, Giorgia Angiuli, Enrico Sangiuliano, Gigi D'Agostino, I Hate Models, Carl Craig all sound amazing.
I listen to a mix of honest music from all genres and decades. If the music is good, I'm gonna pump it!
I love all kinds of electronic music, especially the more experimental and ambient types on the one hand, and Techno on the other: my recipe for dancing.

My favourite series is Avatar the Last Airbender, and concerning movies and other series I'm not a special type. If I watch, I consume the usual stuff: Scrubs and HIMYM are, for example, my favourite timekillers. But generally I would never say no to a movie with a societal critique to it, a twisted plot or well-coreographed action (or martial arts). German stuff is, in my opinion, mostly trash (apart from, for instance, Babylon Berlin, a true masterpiece).

Algo increíble que he hecho

In july of this year I went to munich alone by train, just to see the 10 years jubilee concert of Moop Mama. it was a rather spontaneous trip, and I hadn't planned out any opportunity to stay for the night, except that I had my travel hammock with me and a vague plan to spend the night after the concert in one of munichs top two techno clubs, Rote Sonne or Harry Klein. And then, of course, it all turned out differently :) After the concert, I wandered around the location (Tollwood Festival) a little bit and, at an ATM, a girl talked to me over my longboard I had with me to get around the city (I love to explore cities "onboard") and asked me to come over where she was hanging around with some people, drinking and wanting to go party somewhere later. Turns out they were all Viva Con Agua people and collecting donations at the concert - And half an hour later it became clear that they were planning to go to the aftershow-party of Moop Mama in a nearby club (inside outside) as one of them was also working for the band's booking agency. Long story short, my a little bit perplexed self ended up being the only fan on Moop Mama's private after show party dancing next to Keno and Fatoni. It was a great night, and in the end I could even sleep over at one of the VCA guys - unplanned couchsurfing, so to say. I cannot tell how grateful I was. Next day I went back into the city with my host as she needed to attend the "Oben Ohne Open Air" to raise donations for VCA once more, and I ventured around the city until I was a bit tired out in the evening, setting up my hammock next to the Isar and relaxing for 2 hours. Then the evening vibes got hold and my out of my hammock again, and I strolled along the Isar and got high with my Vape. High and feeling a bit alone by myself again, I decided to sit down a few meters next to a few people listening to psytrance. They saw me and welcomed me over - they were all trippin on Molly and in a good mood, and I sat down and we talked for a few hours. In the end, around midnight, the topic drifted to Techno, and very suddenly, me and one of the guys suggested showing me the Club "Rote Sonne" that night, and I, thrilled, agreed. So we said goodbye to the others and went, and after a little warmup and the music getting progressively faster and darker with the DJ rotations, it was just a great night of dancing, and in the end I just got out of the club and to the ICE train at around 6, when dawn was already on, and I swear, it started raining cats and dogs just as I stepped out of the club (the last two days had been all warm and sunshine). That was my very special, beautiful, and also first ever munich weekend.

Enseña, aprende, comparte

The only instrument I really learned to play (since 1.5 years) is the didgeridoo, a very atmospheric and powerful instrument. I only have two heavy wooden ones, o right now it's rather unlikely that I take my didge with me on a city trip. Apart from that I like singing and rapping (Eminem is my specialty) and am always eager to improvise on drums or the guitar and, generally, learn stuff. But you get it, I would always be down to share musical inspirations or take part in a little jam!

My cooking skills are quite solid - at least people mostly like my creations, and I like to cook for other people a lot - it's one of the most rewarding things there are.

Spanish is a thing I'm just learning, and I would never say no to a little practise!
