About Me
Hi everybody,
I just graduated in September 2018 (I studied Management and Entrepreneurship in Strasbourg, France) and decided to travel around Asia with my childhood friend Eloïse, who also graduated at the same time. We are both 23yo and we want to discover this part of the world for 5 months. We are so excited about meeting new people from many different countries. In fact, we will go to Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Burma, Malaysia and Singapore. We both really like music, talking and discovering new things.
Personally, I love baking pastries, cooking for my friends and my flatmates, playing board games with them, playing the piano and singing! I'm also passionate about CrossFit!
Eloïse really enjoys drinking with friends, playing music, and learning new things by talking with people.
During my studies, I also worked in an association called EPA (belongs to the worldwide network Junior Achievement Worldwide) and I worked with pupils and students to help them create their own Junior Enterprise (a real business at school!).
Eloïse also worked during her Finance Controller studies, in a public company (National Health Insurance Fund).
We are excited about meeting you during our backpack trip!
Quentin and Eloïse :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I lived in a flatmate with 3 other students in Strasbourg for a year and we hosted Couchsurfers from all over the world (Russia, Germany, Portugal, Spain, etc.). I really loved the experience and wanted to go couchsurfing myself during my backpack trip in Asia. I didn't have a CS profile at this moment, my flatmate did.
My flatmate was Flore Pineau (go check her profile, she is a wonderful person and if you go to Strasbourg you'll meet her and her new flatmates who are lovely!!).
Couchsurfing is a great way to discover a city by meeting new people, getting tips about what to visit or what to eat during our trip, and it's also a way to learn new things and to stay away from the "too touristic" zones during the trip.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music : french variety, pop songs, electro chill (Kygo, Coldplay, Imagine Dragons, Jean-Jacques Goldman, etc.), we actually like listening to almost everything and discovering new bands (local bands for example!).
Books : Of Mice and Men (I loved reading this book!). I read a lot but I don't have favorite books, every story is unique. But of course the Harry Potter saga means a lot to me!
Movies and series : Netflix series and original movies (Atypical, Everything sucks, Orange is the new black, Dear White People), Game of Thrones, Death Note, This is Us, The Handmaid's tale, etc. And Friends and Big Bang Theory of course!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My one year flatmate in Strasbourg with the student association "Afev", in a KAPS (colocation à projets solidaires in french), where we built projects for our district. I met amazing people who are now my friends, and I volunteered in an association helping people suffering frop prostitution and human trafficking. This year was full with sports events, social events, meetings, and I learnt a lot! We also welcomed couchsurfers and played board games with them in a very warm environment.
Teach, Learn, Share
We can teach others how to cook french recipes, how to speak french, and how to play some french cards games.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Sharing music, laughs, travel anecdotes and playing cards, cook with other couchsurfers.
