About Me
Hello :)
I am a very open-minded and friendly "Lederhosn"-girl from the South of Austria. I also consider myself as helpful in any situation. Travelling and exploring new countries, it´s nature, cultures and local food is my passion! I already lived in Florence/Italy for 10 month working as an Au Pair and studied 6 month in Aarhus/Denmark. I love to be in nature and do sports like hiking, skiing, swimming, running and so on. Another hobby is to act in out local theater group. It is always fun with the people from my village.
Besides University I was working in some companies as a laboratory assistant and since 2011 I work in the gastronomy (most of the time at big festivals). Besides that I worked a lot with kids (as Au Pair, in a summer camp or in sports classes after school).
I just graduated from the University of Vienna and I have finished all the jobs I had, so I thought that it is the perfect time to travel again and go beyond my boundaries. Further I really love to share Austrian traditions and food for example :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on Couchsurfing not only because it is a cheap way to stay in another city or country but also because, as I stated above I am very interested in meeting the locals and to see how they (so you) live, to hear about your stories and experiences. As well as to tell you something about my country and habits (if one is interested) ;)
I also would like to offer my couch once I have an appartment :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Always when my friends or strangers start to talk about movies I start to get very quiet, because I honestly haven´t had the time (or a good enough internet ;P) to watch movies, when I lived on my own. Haha of course I have seen some but I am not an expert in any.
Lately I have seen a Danish movie called "Jagden" which was well made and pretty tough topic. I like movies like "friends with benefits", "Forzen" or other disney movies - because you can watch them also in other languages and they are still easy to understand :) But also movies with more action like "Django" or some action movies with shootings and nice cars.^^ I like "Friends" and "Bones".
I hear almost any kind of music. Right now for example I am listening to a slow piano music. Other days I like Volbeat and more Rock bands, The Sons of the East and stuff like that. Tracy Chapman <3
Country music, Jess Glynne, Rudimental, ... so very different :D
Concerning books - I read different kind of books and also some Italian or English ones, but two of the books that made it to stuck in my brain was "Die Wand" by Marlene Haushofer (also seen as movie) and "Der Ekel" by Jean-Paul Sartre.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Walking the Camino Portugese was one of the best experiences I have ever had. It was a very easy walk but it just feelt amazing to walk from Porto/Portugal to Santiago de Compostela/Spain and then further to Fisterre. Crossing two countries by walking... that was amazing - I met so many nice people and reccognized that traveling is my passion! :) Walking through a country is a very special and good way to experience a country! I am looking forward to my next Camino :)
I participated in two half-marathon. One in Vienna and one in Aarhus. I was always surprised when I made it (also in a very good time) into the goal. The second time I ran alone and that required a hell lot of self-motivation. But I made it :D thus I was expremely happy afterwards. :)
That might sound a bit strange to somebody but learning the statistics programm R was an amazing thing I have done. Also because it was very challenging.
Being able to keep in touch with all my friends distributed in Europe and farer away and being able to visit them all over Europe and soon also in Australia :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I would like to learn an instrument and to properly learn Spanish.
Tell me what you want to learn or share and I will tell you if I can teach or share ;)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my stories about some journeys, my culture (also experiences with Danish or Italian culture), cooking an Austrian dish like "Kaiserschmarrn" and what ever the host is up to. :) Give some advices if you want to travel somewhere where I have already been.
