About Me
Ciao!
I’m Emilia and I recently came back to Germany since a longer period of being away.
Last year I studied in Istanbul and had the opportunity to travel a lot of the country by hitchhiking with my friend all the way to Georgia and Armenia.
A big part of why this was such an inspiring journey for me is also Couchsurfing and all the people I was able to meet because of it. I’m incredibly thankful for all the hospitality I was met with during that time.
Now that I am back home, I would love to share my home again as well! And I’m looking forward to keep the exchange alive when I am not traveling myself and my life doesn’t feel as adventurous anymore as before.
I am very interested in other peoples life stories, and love to learn new things this way. I’m also interested in art and photography, engaging in creative projects and I love to be in the nature.
I grew up in Berlin but three years ago I moved to Witten for my studies of philosophy, politics and economics.
Here I live in a house together with my flatmates and I really enjoy that because we can share so much with each other. We like to cook and eat together, spend time together and have game or movie nights from time to time, so when you stay here you will probably meet some of them as well.
Witten is not very big but we have some nice parks around, the forest and the river Ruhr are close by and there a a few nice cafés that I can show you. We are also very close to the cities Bochum and Dortmund where there is a bit more culturally going on.
If you would like to come, please let me know a bit about yourself, what you are currently interested in and how you’d like to spend your time here.
Looking forward to meeting you!
