About Me

Hi ! My name is Salomé and I'm a french student in Biology :)))
The top things i like the most are eating, drawing, meeting and travelling.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love travelling ! I decided moving to Lille for my studies in order to ease my way into trips in Belgium, the UK and the Netherlands, right next to the border :)
Growing up, I lived in Alsace, so near the german and swiss borders.
We used to take the car on weekends and vacations in order to visit foreign cities that were just nearby !
Also, my mom has travelled everywhere around the world for her job, which allowed me to get a really broad view of other cultures through her stories... so now, i wanna make my own !

I just can't imagine myself sticking to the same place my whole life.
I wanna move, see, taste, meet, and then compil my experiences through drawing and travel journals !

Music, Movies, and Books

I love every piece of animated fiction ever : Cartoons, anime, movies...
Concerning books, I've mainly read french litterature, but also took a real liking to discovering new books.
Anything weird and unexpected satisfies me ! If I were to advise one author to travellers, it'll be Murakami.

I'm really curious at what others would define as their favorite books !

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been city-hiking for 1 week through Japan, with my Aunt.
We spent 5 days in Tokyo, but there are so many different landscapes through and around the area that it indeed we never got bored out. Then, we went to Hakone, Kyoto and Osaka :)
It was a truly astonishing experience, and I really get nostalgic when remembering each one of the things I got to see. The first few minutes i spent there strangely felt like coming home, despite the cultural gap...

Teach, Learn, Share

I can draw together with you, and cook, and take long walks just enjoying the views.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Learn me some nice baking recipes, take me to your favourite places, tell me everything about what it is like to live where you live :) If you come visiting me to Lille, I'll bring you to the Fast food down my appartment. I promise, it's the best street food you'll taste in the whole city.
