Overview
About Me
I'm Eldin, and I'm basically a nomad at this point of my life. I've lived for almost a decade in the states, never staying at the same place for too long, and before that I lived in the Sahara, right outside of Cairo. Family's originally from Alexandria, with mom's side being American, English, German, and of course, Egyptian, with dad's family being of Turkish, Syrian, and as I found out quite recently, Moroccan decent.
I have decided to travel the world, but would like to see as many states as possible before leaving and starting this journey.
I'm an indie game developer, working on what will hopefully be my first project for PC and Xbox One, and hopefully a PS4 and Switch port will follow shortly after. I work from my laptop so thankfully I can work while traveling.
I'm not really into social media of any kind, as I don't have any accounts on sites like Facebook or Twitter. I'm not comfortable with the idea of sharing my pictures and personal data on the interwebs, but Couch surfing has a good purpose and requirements that I shall gladly respect.
I hope to be meeting interesting people who will teach me new things in life, and I hope to return the favor in kind. Happy surfing everyone, and thanks for dropping by!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Meeting kind strangers who will let me stay with them in my travels, and I get to do the same for them when the time comes.
Interests
Video games (making them and playing them.)
Lifting (when my back isn't broken.)
Sharing a laugh with others.
Hopefully seeing the kindness in complete strangers.
Travelling, meeting people completely different from me that remind me how big this world is, and that there's good in it.
- photography
- making new friends
- pursuing the horizon.
- seeing new cultures and learning from them.
- creating wonderful memories.
- travelling far and wide
- trying new things at least once
- football (the real one, not the nfl)
- meeting special people who'll hopefully inspire me
- visiting beautiful spots in the off-season
- traveling alone, being lost in your own thoughts
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: J.Roddy Walston and the Business. Love a lot of good music, but they're my current favorite band.
Books: The Call of the Wild. The Authorities. Alice in Wonderland. Lays of Ancient Rome. Catch-22.
Movie: A Walk in the Clouds. I would've wrote something with action and explosions in it, but I'd be lying.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Not bragging about the amazing things I may have done.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: Bluffing. A very important skill that I shall bestow on those deemed worthy.
Learn: loving. I open my mouth to talk about love, but sarcastic things come out instead.
Share: memories. Remembering good people you've met always lifts one's spirits.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Respect, gratitude, and hopefully a place they can stay if they ever decide to visit the place I'm living in at the time.
